    as said above yea a history of vw type book ,if you go to wh smiths you will find books on sports cars ,or definitive guide to jaguar etc, same thing but on vdubs! :)

    anybody know where me mum can get one for me for xmas.have looked online but not seen one suitable or it says look through this book ,i couldnt for some reason.if you want an aircooled book great but not much for watercooled,surely there must be one somewhere featuring rados, rocos etc thanks rob :)

    do what most people do n drive it n enjoy it .do bits n pieces to it as n when you can afford it i drove my vr for two n a half years before i took it off the road ,shes headin for the spray shop in about two weeks.best to spend your dough on bits the c needs rather than a sound system :)

    have seen these on ebay some of em were not cheap nice to know they came in b pearl thats my colour.for anyone who lives in west country if you go to trago mills newton abbott they have a model village in glass case in the courner is a vr6 comin down a hill 8)

    would not recommend power hose unless you do cover all electricals as said above ,i filled an old kitchen cleaner squirty bottle with gunk ,you can get to awkward places with this ,started at the top n worked me way down,remove the easy stuff as well[battery, waterbottle etc.].dont forget to wear goggles though mate!! :salute:

    havin cleaned the bay n engine on the vr i noticed the wiring that runs along side the battrey is still filthy n wont come up any better,was goin to put them inside the grey foam insulation that plumbers use for pipes this should be ok ??,i take it they dont get hot ? thanks rob :salute:
