sounds like one cylender could b low on compression get it testet if not then its prob a blocked injector or weak spark

cheers the car goes into stelth on nov 8th he said it shuld take about 2 to 3 weeks then its going straight to the paint shop for a full respray which he tells me will take a maximum of 3 weeks

hi everyone i already own a 1.8 16v corrado but i hav just recently bought a 1.8 16v turbo technics corrado. Its going into stelth in nov for a full engine rebuild with capacity beibg increased to 1.9 the head reconed and ported and polished a turbo recon a gearbox recon and a limited slip diff put in and then all setup on the rolling road does n e one nowhat kind of BHP and TORQUE it shud put out and what times it will run. cheers

does any body no where you can take stuff like my inlet manifold and and altinator to be polished so they look almost like chrome.

ive just read about this on the web ive got a spear engine for my corrado heard somthing about fitting an exhaust cam in replacement of the inlet cam. is this true, is it a straight swap and where does it improve the engine. my car i a 1.8 16v Corrado

does any body no roughly how much it is to gwt your head ported and polished. my car is a 1.8 16v cheers and has any body got any tuning tips whilest it is stripped down that far. cheers

cheers i think i might just tune up my 1.8 16v like 2 liter bottomend gas flow head 4 branch manifold and new chip. then maby some cams later on.

wen you say manualy do you mean with the switch inside the car, because on mine the black winder in the boot that you can wind up the spoiler manualy with clicked out so it wouldn't work by its self. Try pushing the small black winder up up so it click's

i had exactly the same problem it was the dizzy. the dizzy has a positioning sensor on it to tell the coil when to send its spark out and it went dicky on mine it cost £120 exchange from euro parts or you could get one from a breakers but i would only recomend using Volks Apark if you do cos they will giv you a guarente -
its turned out that my car a 1.8 16v doesnt hav a crank shaft positioning sensor it has a sensor on the dizzy and it was faulty £120 exchange from euro parts.

its going into VW on thursday to iron it all out once and for all. wot work hav you done to your corrado to give it the extra BHP for the four wheel drive.

Hi every one hopefully im going to solve a few problems here. I Had a problem with my car that it kept cutting out and i wouldnt be able to get it started again for about half an hour, i tried every thing i could think of but now it looks like its the going to be the crank shaft positioning sensor acording to VW. If it turns out to be somethin different i will let you all no.

wont it fail an MOT if you take the cat off or do you not drive it on the road. if you do a cheap option is just to get it welded.

on my car its defo not the battery its happend to me at traffic lights it just stopsthe you have to waight a couple of mins before it wil start again

hi Ive got the same problem on my 1.8 16v Corrado ive tried everythin IGNITION SWITCH, ECU, HT LEADS, DIZZY CAP AND ROTOR ARM, ISV, IMMOBILISER, FUEL PUMPS AND IGNITION COIL. None of these fixed the problemThe next thing on the list is the vacume hoses, and some body told me that they have a kind of switch on them for when they crash whitch shuts down the fuel pumps and the ignition?????? if you figure it out let me no
