I actually asked for the same thing and he never responded... nevermind.... wasn't to be! I am giving the engine a refresh and overhaul as the car has been stood 8 years, I also have always fancied the VGI/VSR as a jbolt to improve its performance a little. That's all.

💯

Luckily I had a thought to just have scout around at the ancillary pics I was asking the guy about and as luck would have it, apart from the top view of the VGi the rest of the pics were all taken from a 7 year old advert from Vortex! When I challenged him he said very little so I backed out and reported the account. Hard to find genuine people these days! 😐

Scratch that. I think someone tried to scam me, and used pictures from an old forum. 🙄 Anyone know of this Insta account ?

Do you really need to cut the bonnet on the Corrado to install it ?

Gents I've managed to find one in Ireland! 👍👍

Without sounding like I have deep pockets, the money bit isn't too much of an issue at that price. Don't get me wrong, it's a great car as it is, just fancy a bit more urgency through the mid range, but not to an extent I want to go too extreme like going the Turbo route- the car is a Storm, so don't want to de value its originality. I just like the idea of period parts fitted which may add another 15-20hp as I've always thought 200-210 is about perfect for the Corrado. (I'll probably be kicked for saying that!).. I'm in touch with Vince as its booked in for October for some refreshing so I'll see what he has to say.

Hi Guys Does anyone know if there are any suppliers left for the Schrick VGi these days? Or anyone that has one they want to part with? I understand they stopped making them years ago.... Any leads would be appreciated!

1994 Corrado VR6 M Reg Aqua Blue Kings Lynn, Norfolk

Hi do you have a HEADLIGHT Switch from the dashboard? Let me know -
Hi I am struggling to find a late model headlight switch for my 1995 Corrado Storm. VW Part number on my broken one is; 535 941 531F. I purchased one last week from a company online and it appears to be the wrong part and possibily for a US model as the pins on the back are a different configuration. Highly frustrating! If anyone can help, has a spare, or is breaking a Corrado, it would be much appreciated. Cash waiting. Regards Matt

They have slightly wider than the standard lips I believe (I think they are 8inch wide on all 4, will check them. Tyres are 205 40 17 with a little stretch. ---------- Post added at 10:54 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:51 PM ---------- 205 40 17 tyres on P Zero Rossos. The will check but I believe they are 0.5in wider than standard all round.

Thanks for your comments, pretty new in the Corrado scene so its nice to get some good feedback so cheers guys. Went to Spring GTI festival at Santa Pod last sunday, wasnt a bad show, but prefer Inters` more. (too many chavs!!) ... Anyway, here are some pics i took of mine and others on the day ... enjoy.... I think C9 VR6 is a forum regular??! Also - Anyone know how much a supercharger kit is? and where from?

Hi All, just given the car a good wash tonight so I thought it would be a good idea to take a few pictures .... Let me know what you think. Its pretty much a standard Storm when i bought her in November, I have added the BBS RS301s, private reg and the KW coilovers. I want to keep the car as original as possible. Only other thing to do now is replace some of the worn roof and door rubbers which go with age. Then its keep for the summer... maybe sell autumn. . . :-)

Thanks for the advice guys. I`m thinking of trying them on with 205 40 17 tyres first, then see how i get on. I have the original BBS soliturdes :-) so can run these if i need to change the rim lip to 0.5 inch. I would have thought the 195s will be unsafe on 8" rims?

Hi - Just purchased a set of BBS RS 301s from German for my standard Storm, they are 17 x 8j, any one know what size tyres i should go for to minimise any rubbing on the arches? My suspension is standard. Thanks guys.

15 x 8" Schmidt Modernlines ... Do they the fit on a VR6?
flyingmatt555 replied to flyingmatt555's topic in Exterior
No its standard suspension mate. I have seen the 15 x 8" Schmidts on rimstyle.co.uk for the corrado but not sure if they will look right / fit ok? Thinking of lowering 30mm as the arch gap is huge standard! What you got on yours? -
Hi guys, pretty new to Corrado VR6 ownership, anybody know whats size alloys I can fit without having to roll the arches? I am looking for 15 to 16" alloys but want them to look pretty wide without having to modify the car to fit. (I own a standard Storm and want to keep the car as original as poss) I am thinking of Schmidts / Lensos for the dish / Split rim look .... Any help would be great. Matt.
