    Suspension????

also for the record - Weitec are actually a (cheaper) subsidiary company of KW (afaik). check out the similarities in the shocks and particularly the adjustable plastic spring seats between your weitecs and the kw's i had on my car. you may pay more for the kw's, but seeing as they apparently come from the same company - that would suggest that you're paying more for a reason... also for the record (and in my humble opinion obviously) - driving is a bit like sex; we all think we're awesome at it until someone comes along and tells us the ugly truth that we aren't, at which point the ego deflates somewhat!!! Yes i do belive the KWs are the better of the two, and i dont want to get into a long winded bitchin thread about it, i was just giving my opinion that there is other suspension out there to consider for a budget!!! Most of you wont even get close to the full potential of your KWs anyway on the road :brickwall:
  3. I am a member, my company put me thro it for free in the HGV, means nothing, everytime i insure a vehicle there is never no discount offered and you have to pay every year to stay as a member so whats the point? Braging rights at the bar maybe, or maybe you will learn something?

    Suspension????

Come on guys kw's this kw's that, Its like should i buy addidas or puma? Yeh alright lets be like sheep! Its down to how good you can drive your corrado in my book! Well it was for me when i choose my weitecs! You can chuck shit loads of cash at you suspension set up, but if you cant drive its a waste of cash. I happen to know i can drive so i saved some cash :norty:
  5. ahh i see  O' dear you had enough, i think from what i read from the forum that these cars are ready for semi retirement! Well thats what mine is doing anyway, i am lucky enough to own a second car as i see the corrado as an investment! I am happy to see it in the garage and out of the elements.
  6. I'm the 2nd owner of the car :) Second owner of my car BUD?
  7. Nice! I would love to know how it drove with 5k on the clock. Thats something i need to do this year when i meet up with fellow corrado owners, is go for test drives obviously vice/versa to see if i got a good one  20k lol fair price for a car in 1996, when you think they want around that today for a new SCIROCCO!

    POTHOLES!

As you have said a new set of tyres will also make your car drive straighter! Worn tyres twist and distort and with the extreme weather we have had wont help.
  9. Is there a link? No one on the forum then?
  10. Just being curious here..... how many of you are the original owners of your car? Or whats the longest time have you owned your current car? Not sure if this topic has come up before? My car 4 months today.....
  11. I have had a MK2 gti 8v on an E plate, and i must say it was a great car, it had 90k when i bought and 145k when i sold it! I used to thrash it everywhere (in my younger days) and it loved it. Very reliable i could go anywhere in it, in fact it is one of the longest owened cars i have had, over four years! And if i could afford to run one as a second car i would do it all again.
  12. Well what i did to my corrado today was, the same as i did yesterday looked at it tucked up nice and cozy in the garage. Then i lightly ran my hand over it with my polishing rag to remove a layer but very light layer i must add of dust that had occured over night. Roll on summer sunshine 8) I really should get out more
  13. Please can i have some if you have any left? Cheers

    Vagmans VR6

Thanks fella, thats just the way they set'um up at awsome. I am not one for tinkering around too much as it drives like a good one as it is, yeh the wheels..... cheap alternative to bbs but its the rubber that really counts and the toyos are working well too.

    Vagmans VR6

Update! New shoes and interior  will get round to fitting the 90mm splitter when i can get it on the ramps.
  16. Me too, with my new leather interior and new wheels on ahhhhh aint life great!
  17. THreaten to cancel your policy... did that with mine (HIC) when we got the mk3-Anni.. went through to cancellation dept explained why I was cancelling the Rado's insurance early...and mystically they could offer me "a new policy bonus" of equivalent of 5yrs NCB.. bringing the price down from over £500 to about £250 for me and the missus... I am with chris knott with the rado, i only want a little 1.0 or 1.4 to run round around in and leave the corrado in the garage for good days! Its in there interest to qoute me happy knowing the corrado is off the road IMO, They want more for the polo to insure than the corrado :cuckoo: abso-lute-ley bonkers!!! Sorry for stealing the topic
  18. As you say GOD DAM INSURANCE COMPANYS!!!! :censored: I have never had a claim in 15 years and i am looking to buy a daily drive, so the insurance want me to start with zero no claims bonus on the second car!!! :censored: I say why cant i use some of the no claim free years i have spare??? Its always win win with them F*****S
  19. Why worrie about the inevitable, its going to happen, i could give you examples but you all ready know, Escort RS 1600i, opel manta GTE, Escort harrier, these cars fetch silly money and IMO so will the corrado. I have just got into corrado ownership and have no intention of selling mine in the near future, roll on my first summer with VR6. And if i need any spare's i am sure they will be available thanks to those who wish to break theres!
  20. IMO again original unmoded ones will fetch more money, thats why the mods ive done are reverseably This i would agree with! But as for the storm i cant see what all the fuss is about IMO, even tho they are a limited edition i chose not to buy one.
  21. I am more worried about greenhouse issues with the vr, there seems to be a big push for environmentally friendly cars and that could mean even higher running costs, with tax etc, to force prices'es down or even off the road! I mean they are really pushing this electric/duel fuel stuff along.
  22. Thats a really sh*t fella!!! Accidents happen, but its not nice when you have passion for your car and people do this, and its always in the back of your mind that your car will be ok next time you park it up somewhere! Plus there is the cost. Hope you get it sorted soon!

    cloth head

Hi mate i did it about 10 years back in a car i had! I put about a £10 worth in, i rang my mate up who is a mecanic, he said, as my tank was empty i should fill the tank right up to the brim with petrol!! So thats what i did and no harm was done as far as i could see!
  24. Would just like to say thanks to r4-ge for the 90mm splitter, and also a big thanks to _leon_ for the leather interior and badges! Oh and sorry for knocking on your door at 7.15am on a sunday morning _leon_
