Make's you want to take extra care  Not sure about this, i thought i read somewhere that VW only sold 10.000 corrados, or was it 10.000 that came to the uk? Feel free to correct me if anyone has the correct facts and figure's, would be interesting to know. Been reading that much on corrados lately.

Ok here's whats coming next... Not very good with the spanner side of things so i was wondering if there would be anyone in the lancashire area who is a bit of a whizz with the VR6 who would be kind enough to help me out one day after christmas? I am going to overhaul the cooling system next, as i have read the threads and i think my car is running a little hot!!! 114 OIL and around the 100 - 110 WATER. I want to replace parts... New rad, thermostat and housing, all senders, and switches for temps and such. Please tell me if i have missed something!? Also i have not really cained the car since i have bought it as i am worried about temps......... Like i said sorry about the pictures they are from the mobile, will get some when the sun comes out! All advice welcome alex

Hello folks, ok story so far, i have sorted the handling out and i now have a nice exhaust note from the car! I am looking at wheel selection now, got my eyes on a set of new Lenso BSX 16' Wheels as bbs splits seem to be put of my range! Also in the frame are new borbet A, can you please tell me if borbets will go on without arch mods and what set up would be the best? Any input is better than no input, thank you all again.....

Hi i have just had a set fitted on weds, drove in with the vr standard set up which was well worn, six hours later after some other bits where fitted and the Weitec Hicon GTN coilovers on! Drove about 50 miles back home, massive differance and was well happy with the ride, was dropped about 50mm i would say. Cant wait to drive the car on some dry tarmac!

Not really, but you could call it a carroVAN if you do! :pukeright:

Put my OZ black rims on and momo race steering wheel on!
-
I knew when i bought my VR that the fuel consumption would not be all that great, after all it is almost a 3 litre! I just put my foot down and all my fuel worries are forgotten about
-
Looks to me like you sold it too cheap!
-
Thanks for the help, i did it i bought some OZ superturismo's in black!
-
Please can anyone help? I am looking at buying a set of alloys, always fancied Red car over black alloys but i am not very good with that side of the pc! :confused4: Something like a multi spoke alloy wheel in black on a red corrado, or even a picture posted up if you have one, but it must be a corrado? Any help would be greatful.

Bare in mind it could also have been towed to its last resting place!

I'd like to think its a tidy one after the ones i looked at  Got it from oldham from a real nice bloke, as for paint i think it has had a few touch ups here and there, i gave up looking for one with original paint job and this looked good enough for my budget as i want to spend a little on it. Been round it with a rag but it was virtualy as you see it when i picked it up. The interior is dark cloth, that too is very tidy.

Well i looked at a few, some good some bad! I think i found a good one  booked into awsome for coilovers and exhaust and loving ever minute of it!
-
Just purchased a set of weitecs from awsome £339+vat along with a miltek exhaust
-
I used a place called bury radiators once when my gt turbo :ignore: head gasket blew due to cloggin in the rad! It did the job, they do recores! Just a suggestion
-
I would have thought the more original a corrado looks the more sought after they will become IMO, so for me i will be leaving it standard apart from sorting the boat like handling out and a new exhaust
-
Ok, got the corrado yesterday, VR6 standard apart from air filter In flash red! Could'nt bring myself to get out of it last night, as for mods i am going to keep it simple, going for coilovers and a stainless exhaust, i am even starting to warm to the original speedline alloys! Will post pictures up soon.
-
Thanks for your imput guys! I am looking at an unmodified car on sat morning, only up upgrade is an air filter, its a red one and no leather will keep you posted!
-
Your car looks great! But i am talking about a car with paint as good as yours without a respray, ie very few marks at all! Also the car in question would be an M plate.
-
Thats it then :( with the funds i have to spend its looking like i have to settle for a car thats had paint! Or wait weeks, months even, to find the right car!
-
I was wondering? How many corrado owners out there if the chance came up would swap there modified examples for a untouched original car with rust free original paint and body? Also i have viewed three cars over the last weekend and all three have had paint at some point in there life, i was always under the impression VWs had solid bodies, i know they are getting on a bit, but from what i can see there cant be many example left like this?

Brentacre did not want my money :nono:. I was close to handing it over to adrian flux, but chris knott have done me good :notworthy: This i like, as i wanted to be with an insurer that understands and not one that stereo types just because a study says you live in a bad area code!
-
Pick up my first Mreg VR6 tomorrow if all is well with the car, already quoted with adrian flux £420 fully comp, age 37, driving 20 years, full no claims, cat 2 alarm and imobilizer, car will be garaged! Does this sound like a good deal? Tried brentacre for a quick quote this morning they came up with a silly quote! I thought it would be easy money for them, mumbled on about my post code :mad2:
