Was that a cat designed for the c or the mk3 golf cant find one for the c
-
Hey, I would like some advice, I currently have a milltek system on my vr6 c, cat back and would like to change the cat for a high flow cat. Does the MK3 vr6 golf Milltek high flow sports cat fit, and will it be an issue with the new mot rules? If not can anyone recomend a high flow cat, just want to wake up the noise a little more and gain a little more response, noticed a good deal of change on throttle response from changeing the oem to milltek.

Right so my thinking is that corrados in the home counties are few and far between. How about a meet in the summer? If everyone replies with the nearest big town to them we can arange somewhere in the midst of us all, a good idea or am I being weired? Gary

Drivers window won't open again, last few times I've had the door card off un done the bolts holding the window in place moved the mechanism using the switch and bolted it back up then its a ok for a month, any suggestions? ---------- Post added at 6:19 AM ---------- Previous post was at 6:13 AM ---------- I lost my indicators due to a loose relay, was a good laugh though me and my friends were running late when I noticed and didn't have half an hour to spare looking for the fault lol. Felt like I was in the 50's with me arm out the window. -
If you haven't alrealy look up how to clean a MAF witch contact cleaner if I recal, the MAF is very sensitive and quite expensive

Might be worth getting new tumblers all round apparently the pins inside the tumblers can wear down so much the ignition can be turnt with a screwdriver. I think there is a thread on here about it, if its got a good alarm though I wouldn't worry. -
Well we have the what I did to my corrado today thread so I feel this could be cool, if your c is anything like mine and half the posts I've read you have proberly had windows falling of the rail's, hr leads arcing, abs woes and many more. Why not blow of some steam here and get offered some help?
-
Yep had the same issue in the dark and with the engine running cold mist some h2o over the engine look down the tunnels that lead to the spark plugs you will proberly see a spark arc, swap the leads out for some new ones and done

Well I’ve done lots of fixes in the 2 years I’ve had my c but today and yesterday i re-upholstered my head-lining including the sun roof and sun roof motor cover, I stuck some vinyl fake leather on instead, looks brilliant picks to follow. Why vinyl I here you say, well after some research i found out that leather that is stuck to head-lining board tends to shrink and look sh!te so erm no not risking that at a cost of £200 in materials. Also today I changed my fuel filter, a bit messy (got my left arm covered in petrol lol) but given that it may have been the original filter having done 85k i thought it might be worth it, and boy was it wow, It starts in 1/4 of the time and when you put your foot down its no longer has a delay instead it is like someone just drop kicked you in the back of the head! PEEPS IF YOU HAVENT CHANGED YOUR FUEL FILTER AT THE COST OF A £10 GO FOR IT!

I don’t think its necessarily about catering to the enthusiast, car companies have a habit of re using old names for new cars, even if the take nothing from the original, most people don’t buy new cars because they fell in love with the car, most people buy new cars because they fell in love with the advert, with the reaction of their friends, with the looks of that model, with how they think it will improve their 'status' the name of it will not make the slightest difference to those people which are at the end of the day the large percentage of the buyers, it will all be in the advertising. The Spice Girls didn’t get famous overnight because they were good, they got famous because there was a good advertising campaign, and cd's were becoming cheap! They could have been called The Pepper Girls, and because of those media moguls still done just as well. My concern is that VW will re-use the name and make a car just a little better than the scirocco, the most likely won’t be concerned about the Audi tt, its often seen as a girls car and let’s face it most of the population do not know Audi and vw are one in the same, you will most likely find a lot of people who will not buy an Audi but would a dub, for that reason it makes sense to launch a similar car, vag want to have the market if the can any company does. any hoo just my opinion
-
Jou summed up my thinking exactly, now VW might not like what happend in the past but they may see a potential future given how the car is reguarded amongst car lovers today, along side a top gear and 5th gear featture it may well do very well this time they can learn lessons from the past use parts from the tt and sirocco and vawla a cheap new corrado that may do well.

You hope!

Hi all, with so much chatter on the internet about a new Corrado and the recent revival of the Sirocco, I personally am concerned about VW giving the Corrado 2nd chance. The way I see it the Corrado at 97,000 produced was a one of, a moment in VW history that ought to stay exactly that a one off. Also can you imagine the conversation "ohh I drive a Corrado"- "ok how much that set you back" - "four grand" - "you what? thats cheap"- "erm no, that’s about right, your obviously thinking of the new Corrado, there was a Corrado before the current model" .................. Also consider what effect a new Corrado would have on the status of our beloved machines, they would no longer be one offs; also they may not be worth as much in terms of the dollar. At the end of the day our cars are becoming "modern classics" according to Hammond, do we really want another one, can’t we just be happy with the new Sirocco and a few Corrados? Is it worth petitioning VW against a new Corrado, and would they even listen? Thoughts on a post card please

First and foremost thanks for all the replies a lot to think about think my ceiling will b 4k its my pride and joy not my day car and I want it to have an oem+ show look. Secondly I am a tutor at a college and have been offered a re spray at low low cost using the students as the work force very dubious about this could end up a sham...... Thirdly window scrapes obsolete what on earth mine are pants I wanted new ones are there a.y specialist shops for rubbers and font say boots lol but on a serious note our cars are 15 yrs old there are 30yr old classics in emaculate condition where do they get there rubbers from?.......

how much will have to be striped....... engine/inerior wise
-
Hey I know this question has been asked before but the posts ive looked at are v old. No then my c has a few door dinks i want the strips removed a couple of dents reomved one about the size of a 50p peice on the roof and a couple on the skirt where jack in wrong position in past by some plonker (presume this will be a b#### to fix) and a full exterior re spray same colour factory finish. a big ask? Also if any one can recomend places in and around hertfordshire that would be appreciated....... THANKS :D
-
Ok but tbh anyone who owns a corrado will most likely spend more on the car than the car is worth I know its not good econmics but kinda goes with owning a c. In this case thoe I can completly see why its better to cut your losses now.
-
TBH it seems like a good idea..... I have a clifford on my car with blackjax which is pretty dam good tbh remote start and a two button key code to enter or the car dies 1/8th of a mile siren goes lights flash and well if your near it you look suspicous or like a tit......

well on the bottom of the ebay add it says uk manurfactured. Find out who manurfactures it and you may be able to get one direct. Or you may be able to get a group buy going. I do like the idea but at what cost?
