  3. fantastic mate, a little heavy but awsome. good workout i tell ya
  4. Also im currently considering the rallye grill and lights :S
  5. Yeah definatly, Where to start lol So definatly need new wheels something Motorsport look, then full rollcage. Flocked dash and doorcards. The engine bay is being tidied at the mo, trying to tuck all wires out of view, relocated the battery and the washer bottle has seem to disapeared. :S after that i think the fuel tank and pump ect.. will be relocated inside the car and then a full service from brakes to charger is needed oh and the more important thing, sort this clutch cable shite out and get the manifold gasket changed :D

    Clutch Cable

Now then peeps, Right, this morning my clutch cable decided to fuck me off and destroy its self. Now this wouldnt ave bothered me as much but i only replaced the cable on tuesday night :S The plastic bit that connects to the pedal just shatterd. I have ordered another one but i really dont want to be replacing cables every few days. So a few questions really. The cable is for a 1.3 cl mk2 golf and fits perfectly. My car being a Golf G60. are there any stronger cables available or does anybody know of any metal ended cables? Secondly, convert this bitch to hydraulic? is it possible? Cheers
  9. Now then peeps over the last few days ive noticed a strong smell of fuel inside the car when putting the peddel down. then coming to slow down while changing gear its starts reving high (2.5k) then down to (900) while the clutch peddel is down. not only is it pissing me off i dont want it getting worse and screwing me engine. Now taking a quick blast through the site, ive seen a few posts about Relay 30? Digifant Control Relay and the obvious lambada sensor. the plugs are quite clean as ive only just changed them to g40 ones. Cheers for any help Stu

  11. just ordered a new inspection plug as for the rocker cover yeah i took my time with it, cleaned it up with a bit of acetone, bought new gasket, got some sealant, worked a treat, no more leaking lol, awsome.
  12. yeah gonna fit the new one with sealant, the one thazts leaking is brand new, replaced do to spraying rocker cover lol oh how i regret it now
  13. there is quite a substantial dribble coming from the right hand side of the rocker gasket, where there is a half moon shaped bit, fucking thing
  14. nope i havent poured any oil in there, just noticed its loose as hell at work. im trying to find an oil leak but tbh it looks like it is coming from the rocker cover
  15. yeah sry i ment inspection hole on the top, next to the block, its like the rubber grommet doesnt even fit properly
  16. mine seems to be VERY loose, hardly any effort removin it. is it supposed to be like this?

    few things :(

Ok had the car on the ramps today, cyl 4 Manifold was loose, as in very loose, the nuts were just about to fall of the bolts :S So tightened up now and no more noise, also i replaced the Air filter today with a new K&N, also sounds better, old one must have been fecked! Still gonna get the timing sorted just to make sure but... THANKS to all the replys, has helped alot Stu

    few things :(

erm i would say a ticking noise more than a metalic noise it gets faster obviously the faster i go through the revs, then change of gear and it starts again. Detonation is possible due to a wobbly crank pully? Cheers for the suggestions peeps

    few things :(

Still major problems Still gettting this loud knocking noise after haing the shells checked. Also i have started to get a minor oil leak, but obviosuly i have only noticed this when the car has been still and sat on my drive. i checked and cleaned the sump, head and rocker cover gaskets for any leaking oil but nothing. If i had a crack in the lump, would that end it all or would you still be able to drive it? :(
  21. Right i have Relay #90 that has a thick red wire that has come out of the back of the fuse box, its deff a 12v power cable but i wanna know what the relay actually does, i will post a pic up asap, just at work. i dont wanna plug it back in and fucj something up p.s. the relay is 50 quid on ebay WTF¬!!! EDIT, research done, Fuel run on relay #90, so i think i need to plug it in lol Someone please confirm
  22. ok cheers, The woodruff key, is there a part number or...
  23. ok got the main bolt and the 4 allen key smaller bolts, Jacked the car up to have a look, went to replace the allen bolts and noticing that two of the four already there were loose as hell, not even the same length as the OE parts. No wonder my pully is wobbling. So put the two new ones in, tightened up and gonna take it to a garage tomorrow to get the main bolt and other two allen bolts replaced. i dont have the tools to do it :S Would a wobble in the pully cause timing issues?
