that's my old car which I unfortunately sold for really cheap in order to get myself a new car. It really is a lovely example and I spent thousands on it! I had it for sale on here for half that amount though!
-
Insurance runs out next week and I've got a good deal lined up for a new motor so if nobody snaps up this lovely car I'm afraid it will be part exchanged...god knows where it will end up! I'm open to sensible offers so try me but it must go this weekend.
-
This car really has to go this weekend and I'm willing to let it go cheap before I part exchange it. Ring or email me if you want to buy this weekend before I part exchange it and get buttons for a car that I would prefer to go to a good home.
-
Insurance running out next week and busy few weeks coming up so want this bad boy to go to a good home over the weekend if possible.
-
Ideally want it gone this weekend before insurance runs out. I've reduced it as much as I can but let me know if anybody wants to make an offer.
-
I know. The amount i paid and then spent on it it seems daft to let it go for that but needs must. Can't believe I've had no interest other than a couple of potentials that I would have to wait a while for.
-
Just letting the good people of the forum know that I have reduced the asking price. I really wish I didn't have to sell but hopefully reducing the price will make it quicker and less painful...like pulling off a plaster! http://www.the-corrado.net/showthread.php?76099-*REDUCED-AGAIN-Ice-Violet-Grey-VR6-for-%A32-390-in-NW-London

little bump...car still up for grabs.
-
Think you are right. Apart from a couple of minor things it really is a straight car. I could have easily spent next to nothing on it as most of the work I done was not necessary but me trying to keep it in good shape for years to come...shame I've got to sell. Besides needing a shared car with my girlfriend, I haven't got the time or space to work on it myself. I'd love to see this go to an enthusiast on here.

Nice one wy906. Don't suppose you want to get back in a Corrado do you?! Or have you scratched that itch already?
-
Yeah...and then moved down to London and did the same. Cheers. Here's some more pics to tempt anybody that is interested. If I ever get another Corrado (presuming this sells soonish) I would defo want this colour again. Suits it so well.

go on wazza...you know you want to!

Just to let you know this hasn't been waxed / polished for a while now. How it looks in these photos is the result of a quick hose down and sponge. BE sad to see it go but needs must. I'm run off my feet at the minute but with a good wax and polish it really does stand out. Bloody lovely!

VR6 | Ice Grey Violet | North West London Price: £2,390 ovno Description: 1994 VW Corrado VR6 Manual - £2,390...ono. MUST GO THIS WEEKEND!!!!!!!!! After 2 and a half years of thoroughly enjoyable ownership of this classic VW, I unfortunately have to put this lovely Ive Grey Violet example up for sale. I originally planned to keep this for good (hence the amount of money I have spent on it) but my girlfriend has passed her test and we need a car that both of us can use so this has to go to a good home. A majority of my mileage has been 400 mile round trips from London to Liverpool. This car has never let me down except for a dodgy battery (replaced), faulty ignition switch (replaced) and a blown cylinder head (all fixed to a high standard). It is surprising how reliable this car has been and how refined it is. This Corrado is pretty much fully loaded and benefits from never having the suspension or engine modified. This is the ideal car for somebody who likes the original looks or as a blank canvas to modify. This car has had 3 previous owners before me and comes with a stacked folder including original adverts for previous buyers. It has a really good history and the guy I bought it from looked after it well too. The original book is included in the sale too. The car has done 153,500 miles but has been more than looked after… had timing chains done, new clutch and recently had the head gasket replaced including a head skim. The car is taxed until the end of September. It recently sailed through an MOT so this is valid until July 26th 2013. This car benefits from: -Full heated black leather (It had a recolour a couple of years ago so it looks brilliant and all heating elements work) -Electric windows -Electric spoiler (works automatically at 60mph and with button) -Electric sunroof (tilts and slides) -Electric wing mirrors (slightly noisy but in full working order) -Great rare colour - as far as I know this colour was only available for a year so this is a rare colour on an already rare car -First aid kit still sealed under the rear armrest -Jetex exhaust (as close to standard as possible, nice but quiet noise and won't rust!) -Upgraded brakes (mk3 vr6 front and mk4 rear) - original brakes are really bad -Sony CD player can play from a memory stick or via bluetooth -Handsfree phone connect through the Sony headset -Previous owner had a blow over respray so the finish is still bright and shiny -Newly reconditioned standard alloys with centre caps -Genuine original Corrado floor mats (rare these days) P1010253 by jonty oconnor, on Flickr P1010250 by jonty oconnor, on Flickr P1010241 by jonty oconnor, on Flickr P1010254 by jonty oconnor, on Flickr Here's a history of my ownership. Thousands spent as I thought I would keep hold of it…here's the list: March 2010: bought for £3,350 April 2010: Belt damper and new belt - £106.91 Jetex stainless steel exhaust - £350 Rear shocks Bump stops wishbone bushes Inner CV boot Oil cooler seals Strut top mount and bearing Exhaust fitting Above inc labour - 629.20 Engine oil, filters and Redline MT90 gearbox oil - £84 Labour - £60 June 2012: Re-colouring of front leather seats with Furniture Clinic's leather colorant kit - £70 November 2012 (Stealth Racing): Timing chains and tensioners New clutch HT leads Thermostat Thermostat housing 3 speed fan switch Heater control panel (£186 plus VAT!) Engine oil and coolant Above inc labour - £1,299.72 September 2011: Right and left can arm and bushes, ball joints and bearings - £100 parts February 2012 (BAM Racing): Service of oils and filters Rear wheel bearings Outer CV boot Replaced ignition switch Power steering pump Rear gearbox mount Above inc labour approx £400 April 2012: New Speedline alloys which had been previously reconditioned - £150 May 2012 (Bam Racing): Cylinder head stripped cleaned Reface valve seats Clean reface valves Reface cylinder head Above - £228 Remove and refit head cylinder head New cylinder head gasket set Anti-freeze Coolant Above - £320 New HT leads (awesome GTi) and spark plugs July 2012 (Bam Racing): Second hand mk3 288 front brake callipers Second hand mk4 rear calipers Ferodo rear brake discs (mk4) Ferodo front brake discs (mk3) 6L 5W-40 synthetic oil - £134.46 2 x mk3 brake lines 2 x rear mk2 to mk4 steel brake lines 2 x rear wheel bearing kits rear brake pads 1L brake fluid 1 x Battery Removing alarm (can be reconnected) above including labour - £435 2 x new front tyres - £120 Bad points (these could be fixed easily and are mainly cosmetic as I have spent money on the mechanical issues first) - I have tried to be honest as possible to save people wasting their time: -rust by rear Corrado badge -fan works only on the highest setting - the car runs at perfect temperatures which have been checked on VAGcom but the fan is quite noisy so it could benefit from a new switch -tiny bit of rust below the rear window -tiny bit of rust at top of windscreen (but well not past fixing - no need to chop metal out!) -a few dings on the both doors -a scratch on bottom of the rear bumper (backed into a high curb) -cracked fogs on both sides Any questions please get in touch…ring or text 07863 200 114 or PM. There are more pictures here if you want to have a better look:

Loving the brake upgrades. The 288s and mk4 rears really are miles better than standard. Car's feeling brilliant now that the head gasket is sorted. Just been out to give it a run after not using it for a fortnight since a 400 mile round trip to Liverpool. Still think I'm gonna have to sell up to get something more sensible that my girlfriend (new driver) can handle and get insured on. Weighed up the option of getting a second car but I don't use the corrado much so it doesn't make sense. I'll put an advert on here if I finally stop arguing with myself. Really are great cars and can't imagine driving something sensible!
