  1. I hope they don't. Will make our rados 'the old shape' instead of the only shape. The new rocco is a nice car but shouldn't be called a rocco IMO.
  2. Bad news about that paint mate...had similar on an old car. My mate who paints cars has a real hang-up with bird turd. He says you have got to clean it off asap cos it can damage paint especially if it is not factory paint from a repair or respray.
  3. Looks sound that mate. Done a lot of stuff I need to do to my rado.
  4. I love pearl greys. Looks lovely mate.
  5. Had a fucking ballache restoring my leather seats with the furniture clinic stuff! Done black seats perfect looking like new but in the daylight they now look bluey grey. Decided to put leather conditioner on them to see if they would be black again and it worked a treat taking the dusty layer off. Problem is the lawyer must not have been dry properly and it peeled a bit off so got to do a bolster again! Morale is be patient and don't rush things! Drivers seat is sound so gonna fit it tomorrow and not put the conditioner on for a while. Then I will redo the passenger and do the door cards and rear seats in a bit once I've regained some patience!
  6. Prepped, painted and finished my gearknob and gaiter with the furniture clinic stuff. Practicing for when I do the seats and doorcards. Bloody good stuff it is too.
  7. as said above...if results like this are possible a simple re-colouring of cracked paint will be easy. My kit was delivered yesterday...trying it out on the gearknob and gaiter today before I tackle the seats. Going to completely re-coat the two front seats with quite a lot of finisher to seal and protect it and then just clean and finish the rest to get the same satin finish all round.
  8. Haha. The healthy, low mileage veggy option! Mines had a hard paper round so think I'll be doing chains before suspension and brakes I'm afraid!
  9. Looks like I'll be getting one of these then! Are they easy to fit? And I will sort the parts to fit a fuse to the headlight switch. Wy906...you ordered the jetex yet?
  10. would this bi xenon kit mean you don't have to buy or make a loom? And it reduces The risk of fire? Is this the kind of thing off eBay?: VW CORRADO (88-96) H4 BI XENON 6000K HID HEADLIGHT KIT was just gonna get bulbs and fit the fuse to the switch for now but should really uprate the loom or fit one of these xenon kits if they are any good.
  11. if that doesn't work try this stuff: http://www.furnitureclinic.co.uk/Leathe ... nt_Kit.htm just ordered myself some. people on this forum have had some amazing results.
  12. ordered the furniture clinic colourant kit today. Once it is delivered on Thursday I plan on re-colouring the front seats, steering wheel, handbrake, gearknobs and gaiters...and then give back seats a sealing (and maybe the door cards). Just have to find somewhere to to do it and work out how to take everything out of the car! Have took the front seats out before but not the back seats and door cards. How easy is it to remove everything else?
  13. today...lowered l reg black or dark blue rado around widnes / warrington (I wasn't driving so dunno where exactly). only caught a glimpse.
  14. only took seats out once (today) but I don't think it will work as the runners are different on each side. Maybe someone knows differently but I'd say no.
  15. Thought I dropped a memory stick under the drivers seat but couldn't see it so thought I would remove the seat using these tips. It was pretty easy but a plastic guide on the but of the runner by the drivers door kept on coming off when putting the seat back in. The memory stick wasn't there in the end :mad2: but wanted to try this anyway as I am planning on treating my seats with the furniture clinic stuff. What kind of grease is best to use on the runners anyway? Mine are a bit gritty now and want to clean them and recoat them.
  16. Down in Potters Bar / London for a long weekend in the blazing sun and pleased to say the old girl behaved herself for the 400 miles of motorways and hours of roasting hot traffic jams in the big smoke! Was dreading summer traffic jams but it handled pretty much the hottest we are gonna get so I'm pretty chuffed now.
  17. had my first real taste of hot corrado driving today and you are spot on. normally ok with the windows down and the sunroof but have to close them at higher speeds and then you cook! black leather doesn't help either!
  18. I got mine from demon tweeks and delivery was 48 hours. They might still have some if anyone is after Jetex. I got the full cat-back to replace the VW one and couldn't be happier with it (not much difference like I wanted).
  19. looking again I don't think it is a ice grey violet. it's hard to tell with that colour cos sometimes mine looks icey blue, a much darker colour at night and sometimes really purple.
  20. Ice Grey Violet? If so these are getting way too popular! When I was looking I didn't see any of them for sale and not many on here and in the last 4 months I have seen 3 new ones on here (including me). Looks lovely though mate. What are doing with your speedlines when you get new wheels? Give me a shout if you are selling.
  21. Not one owner but only 3 and each had it for around 5 years each, having it serviced a lot and generally looked after it. Bit gutted at the minute. Was made redundant at the end of last month (the firm went into insolvency) so I am struggling with money until redundancy and notice pay come in (should be on for about £3600 in total). I'm trying my hardest to keep the car but stil bought ome front brake backplates last night off ebay! Wish me luck.
  22. so these ones should fit then? 3 holes and for a golf / corrado vr6: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/GOLF-MK3-VR6-CORRADO-VR6-FRONT-DISC-BACKPLATES-GENUINE-/270574979211?cmd=ViewItem&pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3eff86888b#ht_1300wt_921
  23. Paired my Sony Bluetooth headunit to my iPhone so now I can speak on the move and also play tunes from my phone without any leads. Technology ay!
  24. I like that. I’ve just realised that I almost bought your car! I saw the advert and called the Seller to arrange a viewing but was told the car had already been sold…. I even took a screen shot! :D :D :D That's the one! It was on for £3999 for a while and he said he didn't really have any views. One day I woke up really early, was bored and tired of looking for cars so just got the train down and bought it after we agreed a price over the phone. It is a really nice example but still wish I had knocked him down more. Ah well...I'm happy enough. Still think you have a cracker there with the low mileage.
  25. I thought there was something like this but was looking on the DVLA website on my phone and couldn't see any rules. Gutted. So if mine is M reg I can only have M or older and none of the new regs? Looks like I will have to go for my postcode or M666 JOC then!
