This is my problem you see im not sure what is good so always end up looking at the wrong thing ! Id say a max of 300 then as i thought i was going to have to pay alot more for something half decent , the less i can spend the better really as im saving for a deposit on a house but still i dont really want budget Are the sportcontacts made by continental then
-
Thank you mate i think maybe i was looking in the wrong places then and not at the nankangs maybe being a bit nieve about wat wa good !! Its been a long while since iv had to buy new tyres as the cars iv had or the wheels i have bought have always been ok to start with Have you personally had any of the tyres you mentioned ? Wats your thoughts on them Cheers
-
Basically im gonna order my tyres soon but im not to sure what to get ! Ideally im looking to spend about 350 so have been looking at hancook , toyo that sort of thing . Im not sure what is best to go for as ideally i would like a good compromise between grip and tyre life . I remember putting some yokohama tyres on my saxo and they lasted about 5 months before the outer edge of the tyre was going bald The wheels are 16 x7j by the way so was goin to go for either 205,45 or 195,45 Any help would be good and any past expariences with good or bad tyres are welcome Cheers , matt

just a quick update to my thread as iv done a few bits ,spruced up the engine bay a bit and sprayed the engine cover still got a bit to go as i want the mani shotblasting but going to wait it out to se if i go obd2 or not and just get the obd2 mani done before i put it on . new wheels , there 16 inch speedlines 7j wide and the ride is good but they do need new tyres and a refurb front lights are all light smoke headlight protectors and the fogs laminx also got a full magnex system off chrisl on here so thanks for that mate it sounds awsome just need to extend the decat now and fit that when the weather gets better also gor a dodo juice buff daddy off the other half for christmas so lucking forward to getting the car done with it in better weather , i have had a go but i think more practise is needed the car clocked 100,000 the other week and its stillgoing strong, i never found out who keyed it tho still gutted about it but i cant do anything about it now i suppose just suck in and get saving some pics

Considering it was left to rot in his garage for years and years its incredibly sharp ! Swiftkid you can pop over if you want ill slice you a bit of watermelon up with it but ill warn you im a bit clumsy haha Ill stick some pics up later

I had a jetex from brand new would never go back i was dissapointed and 400 for a system the would never seal properly and banged everywere Try put a bit of rubber round the beam like an innertube or something
-
I own a vr6 at the moment but had a 2.0l 16 v for two years and i was scared about running a vr6 as everone said its expensive but i honestly get alot better mpg out of the vr , with it being a big engine you really dont have to rev it to get going wer as the valvers you do !! It all depends what you want and what you want to get from it but if you want a vr theres no point putting your hard earnd cash in to something your not destined to keep !
-
If anyone has one id be interested not sure on the exact length but i know its the longer one and it will need to go on a 93 vr6 Cheers
-
Looks realy good mate ! Far to good for scrappy what was wrong with it to be there it doesent look like a scrapper

Help. Can't open passenger door from the inside or outside
sexybourbon replied to krishen's topic in Exterior
Hi mate try popping out the seat base in the back then getting the back rest part out then uou should be able to pop tje rear boor card of , once you have done that if you have a close look you should be able to manually open the door with a flat headed screw driver by pushing the lock mechanism This is exactly what i did when the internals of my lock disintigrated leaving my door broke from either side -
Haha iv done a sunroof seal did you fit it dry or did you lube it up ? Bet ur fingers hurt after Ill let you know wen it co Es to trying out the 288s but as for everything else im gonna order it online and i dont want to use green stuff pads iv had them in the past and didnt really like them Cheers dave
-
Sorry shud have made myselfe more clear , they are non standard speedlines origionally of a subaru so they are now 16" wheels but its the back of the wheel that is different in design so that why i had to shave it abit , im also running a 5 mm spacer aswell Cheers dave i might take you up on that but im sure they wont fit will have to try it one time ! Did u go to the meet the other nite ? Im really undecided now as to what to do with them now as they dont get abused enough to spend a fortune on ! 288s will maybe fit and im not sure weather to go with standard disks and just uprated pads Cheers fellas
-
Cool how much did you get for the brocks i lo ed them wheels i paid 600 for them , they was perfect when i got them aswell Try a wanted ad on here or try euro carparts or gsf i hope someone wants it id hate to see it get broke
-
I can see why the 288s are a good swap but being away monday to friday with work means i dont have alot of time to do the car and also the caliper carriers have already been shaved a few mm to accomadate the speedlnes so even bigger ones would be a no no and even still i would want to replace the 288s with new disks and pads Thanks for the offer on the disks but im only going to buy the disks with six grooves as i knew the pad life would diminish if i got the drilled ones But like i say being away all week kinda evens it out in terms of wear ! Depending on the way this thread turns out and what info comes up i may possibly get standard disks and an uprated pads to go with them , im not looking to stop on a dime but just to get a good compromise when renewing the disks and pads as they need doing
-
Iv just got a set ovfwheels i really like and do t really want to change them and if i put 288s on there the wheel will be to close to the carrier and wont go on , i did think about it but didnt really think an extra 8 mm would do alot of difference or is it the caliper that is different ie is it twin piston or still single just more powerfull , ideally i want to keep them standard for now but just try upgrade the disks and pads
-
iv been pricing up new disks and pads and have sort of made my mind up about what i might get but really after christmas its a bit of a a stretch , so iv looked on venom motorsport and chose the 6 slot black diamond disks front and back and also the predetor road pads front and back to suit . what iv been thinking tho is do i need it ..... i mean i would like to have these as i know atleast iv upgraded from standard and should have better performance out of them but could i say just run standart disks and an uprated pad or the black diamond disks front and back and the standard pads at 270 all in for the black diamond disks and all the pads im about on the limit as to what i can spend all argue now cheers
-
sure there is a welding forum out there for all car bodywork and spraying thats got loads of clever info on there , ....... just googled it here http://www.mig-welding.co.uk/forum/index.php
