Hamerite smooth it is then what colour have people chose i tried some black high temp bbq and stove paint but it dried more like grey lol and some other high temp black spray but that was the same need to get them sorted tho as iv got brock b1 wheels on and u can see all the caliper and disk the spokes are that far apart !!!

If you havent removed the coat hooks u need no they shud push up and pop off bud

I think the imobalizer contacts are under the steering cowlings theres a black wire leading to the connectors thats what u need to be cleaning not 100 % on that tho im sure someone will be along soon if thats not right

I had a dodgy ignition switch mate it would turn the car over but wouldnt start it !!! My mechanic said it was making the wrong connections and turning the motor the wrong way wich in turn was making tjw car turn over but not start !! If thats possible anyway he changed it and its fine now but he did say he had to use a screw driver and hammer to knock the bolts round an out as they had some anti theft thing on them Dont know if thats any help but minea fine now after he changed it all

Yea the stuff your talking about is 3m the same company who make all your double sided tapes and stuff Iv got a sample of it im gonna have a mess with applying it will be easy as its my job but cleaning it should be ok its not got gaps as such in it just a carbon textured finish to make it that little bit more real as it serves no real meaning apart from looks

Haha maybe mate time will tell weather i do it or not but u are right people are skint and it is a viable option if you havent got the extortionate money companys charge for a respray I heard of a lad on here spending 6000 or so on a respray i couldnt believe it lol thats mad money give me three or four days and 300 quid and its done and dusted iys just suffering the consiquences of removing it and the possibility of damageing the 17 year old laquer thats a bit off putting

Yes i can be removed it would leave glue but that can also be removed its a bit of a pain in the arse job but not difficult Isuppose your right in a way and yes any part if scratched can just be removed and a new shiney piece put on Although it could be removed i do think that it would pull the laquer of with it being blown over in the past so could be a problem if someone did want it removing Its quite a good idea if you havent got the money for a respray im just really undecided as to cover it or not

Yea it would be different and na i dont really think it would hit off lol plus im not reallly a fan of e38 tbh i just like it on here Would you think of buying a wrapped car tho thats the question i am worried about if every disliked it it could be hard to sell if i ever needed to

Vinyl !!! Iv had a few problems with my roof leaking so for now i have wrapped it in black vinyl but as soon as i get my new moon roof sorted because i have laquer peel on the roof am gonna do it in the new carbon fiber vinyl instead of gettin a respray as its cheaper and should look very good While the paint isnt great on my car as was wondering should i wrap the full car maybe black ? As i do it for a living i can get it looking as flat as paint and at a fraction of the price of a respray about 300 quid with the carbon roof and spoiler and normal metalic black for the rest of the car My hold backs are resale value really would any of you guys be put off by a wrapped car remember if done well can look very good Im not planning on selling but its just something that ran through my mind when contemplating doing it Its bordeux pearl so a gawjus colour but i dont have the money to get a full respray and i dont want to let it get to scruffy Any thaughts or comments on vinyle wrapping anyone

Cheers guys i thaught i had replied yo this thread so sorry for the delay i dont like being ignorant Iv just had a read through you thread mate cars lovely and i noticed you had done the sunroof im going yo be keeping my eyes peeled now as im kinda sik ov the black vinyl sealing the sunroof as a temp fix just so much to do and no monry to do it lol i suppose at 25 quid tho u cant go wrong

Are you using good quality oil i use vw synta silver nothing else also could be worth changing the fuel filter Im having similar problems but im breaking down for a random 5 mins before she fires up fine again Mines boggy low down tho thinking of giving the throttle body a good clean and service to see if that helps

I gave the front passenger a go but the rust put an end to that lol its not mega bad but obvs doesent look great iv now rang banded steels so gonna ge tje rears done by him he said 70 quid for the rears wich are double skinned an he said he would do it in bowt an hour n half Lilfuzzer on here said they did a great job and iv seen his car in real life and it did look fine I wouldnt worry about the paint just get ot blown in i am like the rest of my car haha

Ahh cheers easypops i thaught that was justva senso i will have a look tomorrow ! Am i right in thinking that this would need to be a new item as the injectors are lets say not worth cleaning

Cheers guys its been fine today i have no idea why !! Not thats its a bad thing but i will try checking the fifth injector i had no idea there was one can you explain where it is as i wouldnt no wer to look also wat would taking the top off the metering head do swiftkid im not sure thats all and i had a good look round last nite and there was not cracks or leaks anywhere not that i could find Iv been told that if the dizzy seal is leaking a bit of oil through this can lead to bad running iv priced one up 85 quid grom stealers Hope someone whos had this problem might be able to help more as im confused
