  1. Right fingers crossed i will be swapping my standard 16 v interior for a beige leather interior from a storm tomorrow and the only thing that it hast got is the switch for the heated bits and was wondering where i could get one as vw said they are on back order and a re 56 quid !! Or is there an other way around getting this sorted ??
  2. iv had to re tape mine but no biggy mine are the heko ones v dubstar recomended to me great fit and still look gread no scratches or marks and im sure i paid about 28 quids for mine
  3. if its any help i got some of ebay they are made by peko i think and was about 25 30 quid and they fit great no probs mine are still good condition after lots of washes and about four months of driving
  4. dont know if anyone has started a thread like this or not yet but after reading the best pound for pound thread i thought it might be a good idea for people to list a company they have used for a specific part for there corrado or a company they know about that someone else might not , or even just an ebay seller that does quality parts or on the other hand maybe not so good so we all know what to buy and what not to. so i will start by ...... smoked indicators i baught of ebay thaught this was a simple task for someone to replicate but the clip that sits in the hole was oversized a bit so cracked when i pushed it in , the seller was called blacks of stichill the indicators are on the car but like i said took a bit of a push to get in so not great. obviously there are the main ones like main dealers and so on but im sure there are some that know of companies that others dont .
  5. i wonder if hes on the forum lol
  6. I have this problem on mine the petrol guage goes up when i brake and down when i accelerate lol also my car has the black soot in the exhaust and also pops and grumbles when it at tick over ! Also smells rich when i hammer it the kid i baught the car of told me he had had the timing advanced on the dyno to gain about an extra 6or 7 bhp so im guessing thats what my problem is so maybe its worth you having it chrcked for the same problem!!
  7. No when i opened the bonnet it was just sat in the top of the engine so i didnt need to what i cant understand is why he took it off in the first place !!! Tbh i took off all the sound dedning ad removed the glue and then cleaned it and polished it and it looks better but thats still not the point i suppose
  8. i would have done but when i asked where to pay he just said dont worry about it so really i wouldnt have had a leg to stand on because i didnt have a reciept for the things he had done he would have just put the blame somewhere else but on his head
  9. just had a small nightmare with the sound deadning glued to the underside of the bonnet. what i have been doing for the last three hours is removing it .... not happy. a couple of weeks ago ...my birthday i had to top the oil up not concentrating put a little to much in and got a bit worried that it might of caused some damage usually i would have just jacked the car up and drained a bit out but its a pain getting underneath with it being so low so being my "special day" decided this would not be a hard job for the local garage to do so whipped it round for them to do...... not a problem he said so i waited round out side the garage entrance and five mins later he came out with my keys .... sorted you would think before driving off in to a sunny corrado sunset . until 5 miles later when you can smell oil and lift your bonnet to find the dick had removed the oil filler cap and not put it back on so oil was all over and i mean all over i took me about 4 hours to clean the bay before gunk'in it and rinsing it and then taking it to get the underneath steam cleaned i cant believe the stupid f@@k actually did it has anybody else ever had something like this happen i was totally gutted that he had messed up my pride and joy rant over
  10. Cheers bud ill have a look the main thing i am concerned about is the steel bolts and the ally reacting together so instead if tapping the holes and threading the bolts in i think im going to use that aroldite stuff and glue them in so that the metals dont fuse together
  11. i remember wanting this when i was looking for a corrado its really clean but it was just to far for me to travell looks great tho mate
  12. sorry bud forgot to say thanks for the help
  13. tried this mate but its currently undergoin works so its not available i cant believe how hard it is to get some silly bolts lol you would of thought you could get them pretty simple im going to need about 125 which is quite alot and i dont want to put steel ones in incase the ally and steel react and spoil the wheels

jus had another look and sounds like its better to remove the bottom snorkel pipe or something like that gives the same noise effects but at the same time is reversible so not to wreck your air box not sure exactly what pipe to remove tho might have to look in the manuals lol :confused4:

    de cat

yea i know its a pain but id rather just measure cut and weld the one i have other then send it bak and get another that still probs doesent fit lol also it does have the hole for the sensor and also a bolt to fit incase you want it closed up for whatever reason ill post a pic up when i get a chance , iv just this min been reading about the air box on club gti and alot of people say it does make a difference when you floor it but it stays quiet when just driving normal gonna get a k and n ordered i think the drill the lower airbox on the inside wing thats what iv read to be best ....not sure how many holes to do tho lol i wonder if theres a how to guide for the rubbish lol

tbh mate i tried fitting the de cat that arrived today and when i offered it up it was about 150mm to long lol so now i have to get it chopped anyway wich is a pain although it does look good quality and i think im gonna pik up a new panel filter seen one on tsr website for bout thirty quid wich looks ok and im thinking about drilling the box asweal but i dont wanna spoil it if it doesent achive the right effect and a nice manifold would be nice but they are also about 300 quid lol
