We normally just burst the windows and we're away ;) As much as I'd love to attack it with a hammer I've not long had it resprayed so it's not an option.

Thanks Stone; I'll look into that also! ---------- Post added at 8:31 PM ---------- Previous post was at 8:30 PM ---------- I'll retire 'til the weekend ;)

Cheers for the replies Gents; a cup of tea and five minutes I'll be back out there full of enthusiasm!

The pin rises up as it should when I operate the key, but it slowly drops down a touch. I've got the door card half off and I've tried opening it mechanically with no joy.

Evening all! I repaired my door handle with a kit from Dave last week and the handle was working perfect since. Now, it may be purely coincidental but last night I tried to unlock the door and the central locking instantly locked the door again. I can get in through the passenger side but I cannot open the drivers door from inside or outside the car. When I turn the key it sounds like the pump is operating the pump as it should but it's obviously not unlocking the door. Is there anything I can do to get the door open? Many thanks, one angry Corrado owner :(

Is that located in the tank?

Thanks for your replies everyone! Davidwort; my fuel pump is very noisy and I've never changed the fuel filter in the four years I've owned the car. Could this be an issue? I refer to the car as a she because, like females, she's a pain in the backside.. :) I only do around 10 miles a day normally so I understand the poor return as the engine will still be cold. But, when I've been on a run along the motorway, like my trip to Leeds last week, it wasn't any better. I'd be better off with a VR but I've just spent a good few quid on this and the Liverpool postcode isn't good for insuring a VR6 thanks to our darling thieves.

Hello Ladies and Mentalmen! My car is a thirsty machine; I've had it 'tuned' at a bosch centre recently and they said the car was set up fine and everthing was spot on. Annoyingly though she still smells like she's running rich and the best i've had on a run is around 26 mpg. In English it's costing me the best part of £25/30 notes for my 100 miles a week I do. Does anyone have any suggestions what I can look for or any idea why she's so thirsty? Thanks guys!
