  1. Got to say yours was the nicest sounding and 'feeling' engine of all the cars I've driven. Oh, and that colour :luvlove: you know its yours if you want it...... :D
  2. 106k - some wear & damage done as head gasket needed changing and whilst at it chains got done too mine were done at 106k miles...as well documented in my car's "for sale" thread. the chain guard had wear and some bits had broken off...hence we took the sump off and cleaned it out when the chains were done... now at nearly 109k (driven daily in the cold weather) and it purrs like a kitten... thx Lars
  3. hi mate, will i need to cut out from the bumper? also do it come with the electics supplied? as this could be a good option for me... i wont be able to get to the NEC this weekend, but i am sure could figure something out.... please send me some pics: [email protected] thx Lars
  4. hi guys, as you may have read I am in the dilemma that I need transport for my Motocross / Enduro bike and with my Corrado VR6 that is not possible. thats the reason why i have my Rado up in the for sale section - viewtopic.php?f=12&t=97052 as the prices for cars are soo low at the moment I may consider keeping the car (especially as everything has been done on it!) and look to fit a towbar and get a trailer... Now i know a towbar will ruin the looks and value even further...but i am may have no other option. Has anyone here has / had a towbar on a VR6? Can i still get them somewhere? please let me know your thoughts thx Lars
  5. just read through your thread...looks like you found a nice Rado... well done
  6. i am considering selling it as i may need to get a van or a pickup for the off-road bikes...its in the for sale section too so if you want a good one with all the engine just been done etc.. let me know
  7. car is now for sale - as i need a van or a pickup etc...gotten too much into off-road motorbiking :D
  8. good looking car...same color as mine  keep the good work up...and enjoy
  9. just finished a bit waxing and polishing on the Rado - now its reasonably clean again - ready for the coming Rain  here are a few more pics...I love the shape, color and the entire car when its clean and shiny....(i love it also when its not clean..) Enjoy Lars
  10. hi guys, today the missus and I took another little drive in the VR6...went toward Basingstoke and than Overton and than back via Aldermaston etc... now i just gave the Rado a wash and once its dried and i will give it a quick wax & polish... thx Lars
  11. just been to Bristol and back today...nice drive home on the A4 lovely to drive the rado in this weather, windows down and just listen to the engine.... could not be better, just checked the level and all is good! Car run perfect as expected! got 30mpg according to the MFA too... thanks for the nice comments Lars
  12. headgasket had a slight leak - hence the head work and whilst at it the chains etc... + i got the clutch kit cheap from here so i thought in for a penny in for a pound! at least its all sorted now... car now owes me a lot more than i paid & had planned to spend, but thats life! i plan on keeping it a while...
  13. guys, today i picked up my Vr6 again after it had some needed engine - TLC - see list of part etc.. having had a noisy aux water pump, a tiny leak at the headgasket and a view other bits.. the car a top end rebuild... as the timing chains were not done yet we did them to...and i also fitted a new clutch which i got from a fellow Forum member... here is a list of the stuff done / replaced: (not including fluids etc.) Cylinder head machining, valve re cut, head skim, Injector reconditioning 2 x O ring for coolant pipe Plastic water pipe Gasket 6 x spark plugs Head gasket 1 x cam shaft timing chain 1 x chain tensioner 1 x cam shaft timing chain bottom 1 x chain tensioner 1 x chain tensioner 1 x slider rail 1 x oil filter 1 x aux water pump 1 x rocker cover cover gasket 1 x inlet manifold inner gasket 1 x auxiliary belt 1 x auxiliary belt tensioner 2 of my injector had the spray bit missing...chain guide were starting to wear and one guard was broken... here are a few pics...more will follow as we took pics along the way with the head off etc... engine bay got a bit of a clean too... now i need to run it back in a bit ...it purrs like a kitten...cost me over a 1k for parts alone, but well worth it... oh, and we did change all suspension bushes too with upgrade race spec bush kit. i may see if i can make it to the Basingstoke & Dean VAG meet this Thursday - so i may see you there. thx Lars
  14. looks good and a nice bit of road too...where is that??? i took my missus and the VR6 out today too - went to Cliveden House in Taplow for coffee&cakes... they had a classic car meet, but the only true classic was my Rado parked in the car park... :epicfail:
