  1. VW 2.0l 16v ABF engine and accessories

     

    Covered 45k miles, new water pump, cam belt, cam belt tensioner, spark plugs, HT leads, distributor cap, hall sender, rotor arm, oil filter etc.

    MK2 gti inlet manifold (Euro type 52mm?? the largest one)

    MK2 gti injection system, metering head, injectors, fuel filter, ISV etc. (with K&N air cleaner)

    Fitted with KR cams (from the MK2 16v gti) - ABF cams also included

    Spare ported and polished KR head (couldn't find the time to fit it!)

    Re-conditioned alternator and starter motor

    Full assortment of engine mounts for MK1 gti, including a polyethylene rear bush (front If I can locate it!)

    The necessary wiring loom for a MK1/2 conversion including two working ECU's

    New clutch and flywheel

    MK1 gti 5 speed gearbox (code unknown)

     

    £550 ono.

     

    Engine located near Peterborough, Cambs.

     

     

    This engine worked flawlessly in my MK1 before removal to make way for a 20v turbo! Would make an ideal upgrade for a 1.8l 16v or as I did, for a conversion.

     

    You can't beat the induction roar of a K-jet 16v, especially the 2.0l 16v with KR cams! :)

    Thanks for the tips, that's maybe next years budget right there! Was looking at the rear beams yesterday. Where are you getting your parts from?

     

    Any tips on what camber to aim for as a starting point and what's your take on ride height?
