  1. Having retaxed my Mk1 Rocco, got it out today and drove up to Telford, parked on the SciroccoRegister clubstand.

928 all well and nice, but the stupid grin in my face during the journey to Telford in my Mk1 Rocco was classic again :)

Once arrived, parked up and cleaned, met up with the other guys and gals indeed (nice white Scala with G60 engine) on the stand, before I went wandering through the other halls, to meet Rado-Steve, saw Onestep´s Rado on the Jabbasport stand (nice article in this month´s Golf+, too, a complimentary copy of which we somehow ended up with :) ), and a red 16V on the HIC insurance stand.

Took some pics today, because tomorrow views of cars will be obscured by people

    Tasty Ur-Quattros there, too.

    Pictures here

    Tempest

Nice to see my car i have not seen it in 5 months.

Your mk1 rocco is looking sweet.

  2. I bought it today as it had a rado in it lol, looks sweet mate!

Not too keen on the chickenwire on the bumper but fair enuf .

Not really my cup of tea it used to have black aluminum mesh but it just broken when stones hit it thats why i have stainless steel now.

  3. Thanks for the quick comeback

To confirm that you have the following items

    1. 4 stud 280mm discs with pads

    2. G60 Caliper Carrier Brackets

I dont think that G60 pads will fit my calipers but the discs will be fine and the G60 carriers will allow me to fit my standard calipers

Confirm as above and let me know what money you are looking for

Yes correct and i have braided front brake lines never been used £120

  4. Ah cool, what's spool up like on it? That's one thing that's doing my head in trying to decide on a turbo.

    Really impressive car !

It really depends on what your using the car for. Mine is a little laggy for some tracks it really gets going at 3500rpm.

Im thinking a little wet nos just to help with the bit of lag more plans in the pipe line.

    Car’s really looking great!

I know that chap in the stripped out CLK55, he said and I quote ‘that Corrado blitzed past me on one run’. :D The CLK maxed at 172mph.

I had a little chat with that guy. That merc goes well for just being stripped out..

Fantastic... just shows that, compared to some of those big power cars, you don't need to spend loads of money to get something with supercar performance.

182MPH in a Corrado just superb.. I'd say that I'd love to have a passenger ride some time, but I think it might be terrifying ;)

Go on Jim you no you want to...

  5. just read all your thread mate. great to read about a corrado that raises the eybrows of the "elite" owners. great work, I look forward to reading more & of course looking at the pics.

Thank you its been a long and expensive journey but its been alot of fun and its nice to get some recognition hope to get it in a mag in the not to distant future..

  6. Very nice car mate, I'm building mine up a similar way to you albeit using standard size bore and standard pistons. Hoping for high 300's. What turbo are you running something like a 3071? You have anymore details of your engine spec? I understand if you want to keep it to yourself.

    Cheers

The turbo is a owen developments garret t3 and ihi small exhaust casting for better spool up time.

  7. One of the photographer did a little shoot at the end of the day here is on when he came for a ride.http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&f=133&t=1049171&i=80&mid=147681&nmt=VMax+Hammer+photo+and+video+thread

Thanks for all the nice comments.

  8. What gearbox are you running to get that speed!!! Impressive figures, they do handle those speeds very well. I maxed mine out and it felt very stable but that was probably 20mph down on your figures.

Mk3 seat ibiza cupra 5 speed and my engine revs to 7800rpm.

  9. It handled not to bad really but the runway is very bumpy and loads of loose stones on it my rear wheels are chipped to f**k now.

Didnt really notice the wind noise concentrating on aiming the car thought the timing beams at the end of the runway.
