I know it is not the same part, but it's similar. I just called the stealer and they have the whole unit, gauges (oil and amps) and housing for £197-41. He wouldn't give me the part number but is anyone know what they are I could do with 'em :)
-
Ohhh watch out for that one dude, my mate did that and ended up in court anyway... he was doing 100+ mind you. Have a search around the web, there are loads of sites with information on how to dodge stealth tax, and they (generally) work :)

High mileage VR6 corrados..............................
Blimey replied to DORSET_V_DUBSTER's topic in General Car Chat
[rear spoiler(also at speed--- 60mph it comes up) ] Mine comes up at 45 mph, do different varients of the Corrado have different speed settinge before the spoiler lifts? -
Police are experts at trying to bully money/ confessions out of you. I always work on this; if a complete stranger told you that you had to pay him for speeding down his driveway would you pay him without question? If you get a NIP make sure you ask them for lots of information/ proof, they usually give up chasing you 'cause they ain't got enough people to process the paperwork. The Police are rarely right in their convictions of speeding drivers so I suggest surfing the web for info, worked for me  , this one is good: http://www.ukspeedtraps.co.uk/

Mine is on the blanking plate to the left of the headlight switch...

I can vouch for that, my 16v run like a beauty after a good blast down the motorway or quiet "A" roads.. observing the speed limit of course
-
I have a '93 16v and it gets hot as well, it only really blows out cold (ish) air when I'm not driving around town. What does you water temp gauge read ususally?
-
I've got an L reg 2.0 16v and was gonna de-cat it, but got put off as it may invalidate your insurance if you have a major prang and the insurers inspect your motor....

October this year is VR6 month... once my insurance goes down!! So a VR6 C is quicker than the Golf then eh... Oh it just gets better!
-
Is it quick sir? Is it sir? Quick then sir? Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh sirrrrrr
-
Had my first taste of a VR6 today, was in a Golf but can't have everything eh? All I can say is  !! It was quick, my 16v C has a grin factor but the VR6 is seriously fun to drive... anyone wanna px a 16v for a VR6 C? I really really want one.. ohh bugger I've messed me pants again..DOH!

Do not use Elephant m8!! I was with then and had to use them after a minor prang, the car came back with broken sunroof, snapped seat recliner, the garage changed the wiring loom??!?! and the list goes on and on and on.... rattles like Aunt Hilda's back teeth now! Want my advise steer well clear of them more trouble than they are worth!
-
Thanks guys brilliant help there.. 17" it is then 8) Cheers for the heads up on Wolfrace Jimbo, I'll keep an eye out for originals if there are any!!

I get my C serviced/ MOT'd looked after etc at this place... Bollingmores Co.Ltd Unit 3-4 West Surrey Trading Estate Ashford Middlesex TW15 1UJ Tel: 01784 246289 Not only are they good value for money but they are... wait for it.... HONEST!! Unbelievable I know but they stopped me getting stung by VAG and saved me £500!! Either way worth a go, most garages I have come across are t055er5!

Hi All, Okay, I have finally decided to rid myself of the standard '93 2.0L 16v wheels and am after some Voodoo's. I have not got a clue where to find the offsets that I need for the wheels so if anyone knows what they are or where I can find them that would be a great help. The other question is, what looks better 16" or 17". The car isn't lowered yet but will be when I can scrape the dosh together.. hopefully in the next few months... And finally if i go for a bigger wheel is it going to shag up my Speedo, mpg etc...? Simple questions I know but I am pants when it comes to looks and wheel fitting.... PS. If anyone is up for some orginal wheels from a 16v I may have some going shortly....

Should stop eating MacD's period!! I have a problem and I need help! (And my drivers seat needs a clean an' all)
-
I spilt my macdonald drink all over myself and seat the other day so a cup holder is a safety feature
-
Cheers for that Nik, are you the guy who sells the rear light film as well? Would be cool to get some of that in the same order if possible...
-
Ahhhhh cheers Nik... was wondering where it would go. If it can fit a macdonalds drink in it I might be up for buying it, how much you asking?
-
Alright boys, where the cup holders go? The fit in the dash somewhere?
-
Cooooool dash lights! If they make 'em for the later model C I could well be tempted into going in on that... providing someone can point me in the right direction for blue led's.

It is going into the VW Garage in the New Year so will get sorted then! I guess this is why Elephant are cheap eh! I would highly recommend staying well clear of Abbey Coachworls of Wembley though, I have never known such a bunch of incompetant muppets...
