Cheers Stormseeker, sorry it has taken me so long to reply. Has anyone any idea the diameter needed as I was gonna be lazy and ask the garage to put it on so I wanted to give them something that's the right size.
-
Sorry, if this has done the rounds before but I can't manage to find a rough size of jubilee clip to get to tighten up the heat shield that goes around the cat. Anyone any ideas? Cheers Ollie

Guess what! I want the dial style heater control panel - trying to hold out till summer to do the passat conversion as I don't fancy doing it during the winter, just in case it all goes wrong!

Sympathize totally and my has done the same :(. Exactly as described by VR6Paul in the initial post on this topic! I had a brief check last night and it seems like a clear liquid just in the passenger side front footwell and it doesn't smell or feel any different to plain old H20. Saying that I didn't think of checking the back last night but will do when I get home tonight. The heater still blows out hot air but I haven't driven it for long enough to know if it gets up to full temperature or just warm! I have had a search on here for extra info about the sunroof drains but as yet not found any instructions on how to uncover and check them. What does anyone think about putting some blue food colouring in water and then feeding it down the drains (I have black carpets btw). Anyone think that this might do any good at trying to find the source? Also ran my finger down the seal on the outside of the A pillar when the door is open and this felt a little moist but not wet. I am hoping that as a load of us is having this prob then its just because of the weekends rain! Also my cars parked on a slope that dips forward with the front being lower than the back!

Jedi, Got home and it was pitch black!! But stuck the camera in it's vicinity and this is the best i got! And I can't even see the wire!! Will do it saturday morning though and get a proper photos! This is just down and left from the expansion tank!

Hi Jedi, I found a hole with a rubber gromet (that is what they are called isn't it??) in it to the left of the expansion tank(in a VR). Probably easier if I take a pic tonight but it comes through just about on the passenger side of the centre console with the pipe for the rear windscreen washer! Sorry its a bit vague! I'll post a pic when i get home!

Sorry to hear that Kev, won't they swap it as its new or have I mised something?! Cheers Funky for organising a great day and experience!!! Its a pity the traffic wasn't as good on the way back as it was on the way there though!!!

WOW!! That is bloody good value IMHO! But if your not happy with it I can think of a few people who may buy it off you!very reluctantly of course

I made the mistake of asking someone to get me a fog light, as he insisted he could get them cheaper than I could, specifying the year etc of the car L' 93 and ended up with the earlier fog lights. :( They didn't fit at all because of the shape and plastic surround that holds the indicator if I remember rightly but maybe someone on here as managed to get them to fit?! But why?!?!? Is it just the cost difference?! :?

Me too - Can't hear my Miltek exhaust now when the foot is very very occasionally on the floor!! Another boring day at work and I have been thinking how to do a heatshield kinda thing for it. Had a search on here and can only find a few small bits about it. Anyone ever done it for the K&N? And did you make it yourself or can you buy them? Or would it be an idea to move it down to where the Tune2 one sits?! Any suggestions anyone?!
-
Cheers - I guess that will show up in the error codes!! :(

Anyone ever had grey smoke on cold and hot starting? and it's only very occasionally on a VR6. Any ideas? Ollie
