I've been trying to find somewhere that sells the chrome Corrado badge without any joy as it is now obsolete from the stealers. Trimsport says they can't knock one up from an original as the entire badge is chromed and they only do the coloured facing edge, but get this... if someone can lend them a Storm badge he's pretty confident he could knock up a replica. Hmm...

Does the switch just pull straight out from it's surround or does anything alse need to be done first?

Latest EVO gives it the 5 star treatment.

AND a ricer that doesn't like corners. *shakes head*

HF Integrale?

Could see you were enjoying your wee skite by the cheesy grin filling the windcreen. Try a tenners worth of SUL from the Q8 in Fairlie to see how well it runs on 98 octane.
-
Anyone else notice that their exhaust soots up more when using Optimax? I thought the car may have been running rich but the recent service showed everything to be ok. I've almost always used optimax ever since it became available and this ties in with the soot appearance. I doubt the engine is still being cleaned after the past years use.

Q8 SUL is labelled as 98. I've only used it once as it is always way overpriced but that 10 quids worth made the VR run super smooth.

That'll be mine then. Alloys are a bit bubbly after the past couple of winters though.

http://import.h8rs.com/SRTvsCivic.wmv Well tuned up cars, but look at that corrado go.

I have the very same thought every insurance renewal. :D

A 106 GTi will match a VR from 20 - 80 no problem. I driven many times against a mate with one giving the same results each time. I only pull ahead after 80 or so. It's also one of the best handling cars with steering feel aplenty, totally inertia free ride just bobs slightly on dips and crests. The only fault they have is their tiny offset pedals. Performance Car figures Jan '98 0-60 7.2 secs. Standing 1/4 mile 15.8 secs/89mph. Nippy is a bit of an understatement.

If you test drive an Elise you end up wanting one. The perfect small sports car.

Lotus Elise?

I dropped the seat height yesterday and tried the heated seat switch, no noise for 30 minutes, so the break in the relay must be sitting square at the moment. Tidy!
-
It's probably a fault with the relay switch that's causing the noise then. I'll have a goosey behind the panel later in the week if the weathers any better. Cheers.
-
Every time I switch on the drivers side, 5-10 minutes later there's a crackling sound coming from the passenger side of the boot. Once the noise has started, flicking the heated seat switch on/off also toggles the crackling on/off. The passenger side works fine with no problems. Any corrado guru's here know what's up?

When you fire some fully synthetic oil into an older engine that hasn't used it before, the detergents in the fully synth strip off all the muck and grime which can then choke the filter.
-
Mine will idle smoothly at 500 when warmed up. Do you run it on Super Unleaded or Optimax? The VR loves high octane fuel, only complaint being that it mutes the howl slightly when you boot it.

I've heard good things about meguairs 3 step stuff. It's pricey, but it supposed to work superbly on darker hued cars with slight scuffs and polish swirls.

Wads of VR info for £5 a pop. Not for me at these prices but someone here might be interested. 1/94 is probably the one to have, a coupe group test. 7/94 for VR buyers guide. 5/95 has the Storm feature. http://search.stores.ebay.co.uk/search/ ... srchdesc=y

http://homepage.ntlworld.com/simon.jobs ... i%20coupe/ Anyone have any other scans from old magazines?
-
All storms were modified from standard VRs at the dealership that took delivery, so even the promotional brochure could differ from the finished spec. The CCGB pics also show the original Dunlop rubber, so the car must have been pretty fresh at the time it was taken. :?
-
Hmm, the original owner of mine said the car was sold as they received it, complete with red calipers. Didn't the storm featured on the old UK corrado club website have a close up of the alloys showing them too?
-
The Mystics also have red brake calipers as standard.
