I've seen this car advertised but can't get a guide price for a 94 L reg 1.8 16v! When was the last 1.8 produced. Was VW still making a 1.8 166v C in 94'?

You need to click on the link in the ad and/or register with findit to contact the seller.

20/11/2003 12:30 Red G60 J2*5 CGJ "claiming" to have broken down, off Carlton Place, Southampton

It's a bit too far out of the way for me but I know there are quite a few C lovers in the valleys! http://www.findit.co.uk/cars/volkswagen ... 902217.htm

Martin you are a STAR!!!!!!!!!! Thanks very much for your help this afternoon and as promised we will meet up and the beers are on me!! I think I'm going to go for it. It is definetly one of the cleanest C's I've seen, and I've seen a few, it's the oldest one I've looked at and by far the best. It's a fair price and with the cash left over I should be able to sort out a few things (stereo for one!) And I actually quite liked those black alloys  Once again, cheers ! Oh and Andi ..... GIVE THIS MAN SOME STARS!!!!!!

VR6 South, pm'd you!

That's what I was thinking

The general consensus of the seller is very good, on Ebay atleast. I'm hoping to view this C today, it looks good and reads well so if I get the chance I'll let you know what it's like.

Might sound a bit daft at first but where are the best sites (apart from here of course!) to find C's for sale? Yeah I know about Autotrader and Exchange & Mart and the local rag etc but does anyone know of any other good classified sites for motors? Who do you use when looking to sell your beloved Corrado other than this forum? Reasons for asking.... well I've been out to see a few C's advertised on the above mentioned sites and people just seem to want to rip the pi** out of you! When I went to a dealer to have a look at a "Mint condition VW Corrado 2.0 16v " in yellow it turned out to have been resprayed and badly at that! The alloys were badly marked and chipped, sunroof did not work at all, neither did the spoiler, though it might have done if I had driven the car but I thought better of it. The underside had been steam cleaned but not recently enough as I spotted an oil leak just under the block and the gearbox looked to have a hairline crack in it. Not exactly mint condition! All I want is a fair deal. I'm looking to spent up to £3k so I know not to expect showroom condition ar any thing close TBO, Just a nice clean car with history that won't need a large overdraft or mortgage just to get the bloody thing home!

No offence intended!

Try http://www.quotelinedirect.co.uk they'll quote you online then if you want you can call them, have a little chat about "lifestyle" stuff and they can reduce the premium again if, for arguments sake, you don't smoke, only drive so many miles, commute only, have access to 2 or more cars etc. They brought my fully comp on our (I'm going to regret this  ) 2ltr v6 Vitara down to less than £400, and thats with the wife on!!! They gave her 3 years NCD as she's been a named driver on my insurance for that time on her onion 18 16v Ghia Si. I was well impressed!

I was pipped at the post by another potential buyer over the weekend 18/19 Oct, Wasn't too worried as I'm a bit more serious about Stormys 16v. Had a call from the seller today. The last guy pulled out of the sale so they are still looking for a buyer.

I sell Industrial computers and rack mount servers for the internet. This particular customer buys "shoebox" systems on a 486CPU, very expensive and actually very simple machines. I had to take and install a new CPU card. The customer paid for the onsite visit, about $3000.00 US I believe. But it was no holiday, believe me! Out there on the Monday morning and back on the red eye that night. I was completely f****d! My www. addy is a link to our website. Hey Andi, need any new servers? I'll do you a deal!

I was extremely lucky to be sent to NY a few years ago by my employer, due to the urgency they sent me on Concorde. Realistically - it was cramped and if it was not for the food & service(and that major thrust on take off) you'd have thought you were on a charter flight to the Med! But it did feel special, don't know why! Mach 2, only knew abour it because the pilot told us and the digital display told us! You did not really appriciate it until coming back on a 747 which took hours and hours and hours to get home. All in all it was the best £1500 dinner I've ever had!

Sorry, I'm not familiar with the terms  "ported" what'll that give me?

Right here we go!!! Used to belong to an Irish dentist who lived in Waterlooville nr Portsmouth 1 min walk from his practice. Car has been stored for 4 years, MOT certs prove this on mileage.1st 4 services done at VW stealers 80% of rest of servicing done at a local independant garage, Has every reciept for everything ever bought for it. Including wax & shampoo!! Body work is exellent. couple of v small stone chips on bonnet, all sills, wheel arches etc in good nick, no rust. Engine compartment, not very clean but OK for age of car, a few new hoses are visible. rust spots on strut mounts and by battery but thats it. No eveidence of the charger EVER having been rebuilt. Seller confirms this. Electrics, c/l Ok, mirrors ok, bit sticky, s/r tilts but won't slide. spoiler works fine both when driven (40mph) and when switched. BBS alloys look ok , one or two kerb scuffs. All in all looks very tidy, I can feel it's pull!!! Almost hypnotic :D !! I want but will listen to any advice. I'll post some pics later.

Just had a chat with 16VG60, he's happy to answers any Q's I have and has given me a price for the rebuild if needed, which sounds most likely! I'll hopefully post some pics and more info this afternoon. Cheers for all you rhelp guys!!

I've just spoken with the seller, he's selling it for his bro-in-law. The charger has not had a recent rebuild but it has been moded! What, he does not know, hence the low price. How much should it cost to get the charger sorted? And how long does it take? I'm itching to get my first rado but don't want a lemon. Have a guy who appears to know his stuff going with me now.

I'm going to have a look at this at lunchtime today, 1991(H) VOLKSWAGEN CORRADO G60, 120000 miles, £1,950ono, Metallic Burgundy, Full History, Sunroof, Stereo, Electric Windows, Alarm, Central Locking, Power Assisted Steering, Alloy Wheels, Immobiliser, 190bhp Reason for sale moving house., There's no mention of a rebuild on the charger or if it has one, and where would he have got an extra 30 bhp? Any other questions I should be asking or anything in particular I need to look for. I'm not a machanic or especially knowledgable on cars. Anything I can get back in the next couple of hours would be greatly appriciated!!

Danger Mouse wrote: "iv got a police telescopic baton in the car as well as a six cell maglite, cant be too careful " Get caught with the Asp (Police baton) and they will hang you out to dry !! The maglite is fine though, I've carried a six cell Mag in my cars for years now, only yielded in anger once at a hitch hiker who thought he could persuade me to take him to his destination!! The Mags also very good for illuminating those dark places under car bonnets surprisingly enough!!!!! :D

I'm hoping to test drive at a yellow Rado this week, 1.8 16v 88k £2195.00, no mods, very clean , only thing wrong I've seen is the drivers door lock won't operate the central locking. Love the colour, just hope it's not a lemon!!!
