well i have a kenwood cd/tuner and unfortunately i cannot tune into terry wogan in the mornings very well. No seriously i only get local stations and occasionally radio 1, is it the stereo or anyone know of any problems with the aerials??? :roll:

i would definitely check the little contacts behind the face, clean them and also you may need to bend them a little so that they protrude a bit more for more contact. other than that bin the bitch and get another cheap one from halfords.

hello, well i have had the same problem as eveyone else but did not need to go to any extremes apart from buy the more expensive Bosch wipers from halfords (drivers side has the spoiler) and i have not had any problems with them since!!!

you can also get plenty of parts from this company http://www.vwdismantlers.com who will search round the country for secondhand parts very useful and cheap!! :!:

another problem from me, i seem to get a low mpg from my c not sure if its correct or not generally its about 30mpg? i did recently have a large crack in my exhaust manifold and so changed that and also welded up other areas of the exhaust, but still it stays about the same? any ideas?

well i posted this problem before where the car has trouble starting just from turning the key it ususally needs a few pushes on the accelerator to get it going. it starts just about when its really cold but when a mild/warm day needs some persuasion?? i have changed the fuel filter that made no difference, and i can hear the pump buzz when the ignition is switched on so now i am stuck???? all plugs and dist cap/rotor arm changed.

well i have recently had similar problems and cured it by buying bosch ones from halfords rather than their own and because they are much better quality and heavier they are much better. thry those and make sure you get the spoiler on the drivers side you will need 19/19S set ones

no that didn't work, im not sure what this is could it be the board on the interior light?

when i bought the car a few months ago the interior light only work on permanently on, so i took it out clean it a bit and it went of on delay when the dorrs were shut. Now its gone again when i turned on the rear windscreen heater, it stays on when the doors are shut??? any ideas? maybe i just need a new one, any offers? :oops:

yes the pump definitely works and does the intiallization bit, so i shall try the filter as you suggested. cheers mate, nice banana car

i had thought about it possibly being that, as to me it does sound like there is a fuel problem maybe even the pump not pushing enough.

i have a similar starter problem, but mine seems like cold weather or something as it starts fine when the engine is warm but not when cold in the morning etc. i had it tuned changed the plugs dist cap and rotor arm but still no joy. mine turns over but will only eventually start with a little pushing on the accelerator pedal. ANYONE HELLPPP... 1.8 16V

I have a 1.8 16v j reg and would like to know what type of oil is best to use on the car when giving a quick oil change. i was thinking of using 10/40 semi synthetic?? any ideas which would be best or another grade? :evil:
