Hi everyone, I've just got access to a computer diagnostics kit and want to hook it up to my Corrado. The kit has an OBD-2 connector which I understand won't fit the Corrado. What is the connection used in the Corrado? Is it the 2x2 type? To me mate it feels great but being that wide and low if driven very hard catches the tyres round bumpy corners. I have had them on for 2 half years so cant really remember what it was like before. sorry How wide were you thinking? Not sure to be honest with you just yet. Still deciding whether or not I'm a fan of banded steels (sorry), but if I do change my wheels I'll be going wider for sure...just don't know what to do yet! Thanks for the info though mate!

Hey Dragon... Thanks for that. I looked through that link earlier today, gonna give it a go for definite :) I'd still like to pursue the cleaning of the inlet manifold though as it looks pretty mean when done I think. I'm guessing that removing it will make it much easier though yeah? Jamie

Hi all, I'm wanting to clean and detail my engine bay and would like to make my inlet manifold all shiny and nice looking, not pitted and dull as it is currently. Now I'm pretty dumb when it comes to cars, so it fairly easy and harmless to remove, clean up and put back together? Or should I really have someone around who knows what they're doing? Thanks Jamie

Thanks for that mate. I'll be honest with you, I'm not the most mechanically minded so a lot of that will have gone straight over my head. However, I have an operation on Monday which will leave me off work for about 6 weeks, hoping to spend some time on the car so I should be able to get into this a bit more and learn some new skills :D Thanks for that though chap. Thanks for that kind sir. I was guessing most things might be a bit over the top. It's had some engine mods and stainless steel exhaust, so it's now 157bhp. Not going to set any records I know but respectable none the less. Thanks Jamie

Thats' nice to hear mate...mine's just turned 151k and I was thinking I might have to look out for a different one with lower miles as a project, but it looks like it's got some life in it yet if I look after it :D Yours does look particularly plush though :)

Hi all, I recently got a 1991 1.8 16v Corrado. It's had G60 uprated front brakes at some time, but the time is fast approaching where they're going to need replacing due to wear. I'm not really up on my knowledge of all this, but what's the best route forward here? I want to paint the callipers red too, but I'm considering a total new setup depending on the cost. Can get into Brembos for a reasonable cost? I'm really new to this, so please bare with me! Thanks Jamie

Use pure water as the the final rinse to get rid of the water marks, but use plenty of it as it'll pick up any impurities left on anything it comes in to contact with. In an engine bay it won't be 100% watermark free, but it'll certainly minimise this. As for where to get pure water, I'm a window cleaner using the pole system, it's common to get about 500l of water for under £20, so finding yourself a local window cleaner to supply you with some water shouldn't be too expensive! Just a thought to help out :)

I know...it's mean isn't it?! The blackened lights look pretty sick along with the tinted windows, but the width of the arches just make it look so mean!

Hi everyone, Just wondering what seats (leather ones) from other cars, or aftermarket brands fit in to Corrado's without needing too much work? I know that Audi TT ones do, but which models? Right... So without meaning to sound to thick...are they a separate component that you attach and then have smoothed on and sprayed? If so, how d'you get the bumpers width to match as it does with standard arches? Thanks Jamie

Hello fellow Corradonians... The interior light in my valver has decided to live life on the edge and hang down on the passenger's side! It's still secure on the driver's side but no matter how much I push the hanging side it doesn't seem to 'clip' in to place or stay put, it just pops straight back out again. Any ideas? Thanks Jamie
