dazzyvr6, i was going to get them AAAAAGGGGGEEEEESSSSSSSSS ago! think they look sweet as! are they easyt to read? how much they cost?
-
no problem! Let us know how you get on
-
Bugger. :( but hey, at the price they are, they'd have to be kept in the famiily!!!!!!
-
yeah me too!! i tried getting a 666 Dub plate but alas, my car was 1 year too old!
-
it was ME!!! :D the newer fogs have more depth to them and there is a plastic manel stopping them going in. knock that out. use pliers and a screw driver, there some sealent in there too but it all rips out. then, there should be rubber washers type things in the bumper to hold one side of the foglamp in. remove them, cause the bracket that s attached to the fog light and holds everything in doesnt need them. just clip them in like normal then... after you wire tham obviously! Should look like this then...
-
you could cut off a pipe, that would whistle....
-
What are they???
-
Standard ones arent £100 are they? i got jabba to do mine and im sure it said something like £8 on the receipt.. probably wrong tho....
-
sometimes its the type of paint. metallic blacks and solid blacks come out differently, with the metallic often gives a hazy appearance. My GF's black polo has the same problem really. very hard to keep clean too, it shows up everything!
-
yeah, any pics on the forum thats small, click it to enlarge. i thought it'd convice you!
-
Supercharged, lookin good bud. i see what you mean, it fair takes of any shine that the ABS finish is givin. looked good.
-
vr6storm, well thats what i thought. cant go wrong really... dont need primer, but i reckon throw some on anyway, cant go wrong, might last better?? My mate used it said its good stuff really. if it flakes, i could always just repaint it... i reckon prime it it and bake it, might be all good.

AFAIK there was only 2 types of standard VW-grille for the corrado.....the pre-92 multi-slatted one and the later post-92 3 bar  .......as for priming the grille i would imagine that you would need to do this even with these types of paint as it will make the paint stick to it a lot easier(unless of course the paint manufacturer states differently).....tho one thing either the primer or the paint will need is a plasticiser in it........to give it some degree of flex otherwise it'll likely flake off or chip off easily...... Yeah, but i was talking about the MKI golf, the MKII golf and the early corrado grill  as it was in relation to Supercharged's golf mention  Jut found this and reckon its worth a try....[web]http://www.frost.co.uk/item_Detail.asp?productID=8219[/web]

oh, sanding of the grill was a definate, im just not sure if i even need to prime it with these kind of paints. and i dont want any sheen as part of the finish. is this the sort of finish you got on yours? bearing in mind mKI mKII Erly corrado grilles were finished like this, but the later 3 slat corrado grill were very textured. you got any pics of that?
-
it dont look like its done that mileage! tidy. mine is nearing the same. just 2K behind ya now! What kinda interior you got? got any pics of that too? what style of wheel did you get? you considered Audioscape door pods to make the most of the Alpine unit?
-
It is very nice tho. what have you done to it> any more mods? whats the mileage?
-
NAH!! you'll be fine!!! only heard of theat happening once! use plenty of hot water to soften everythin up. and whip off, use some petrol and a credit card to get rid of the glue.
-
Lovely lookin car bud!!! its what i had in mind when i was first looking for a corrado. same colour, same wheels. NICE!!! Not being funny though, but your corrado badge looks to far to the left? maybe its been debadged at some point and that could be removed with out leaving holes behind it?
-
well i've read that a 268 deg cam is a good un for a g60. anything less is too mild, anything bigger looses the boost.
-
go for it
-
is this the bump strip on the side? they're just glued on. whip em all off. looks much better! 8)
-
Whats the chances of getting it at Halfords actually? cause i only need a small aerosol for all the grill is, and eos anyone know any good prep and painting tips? is it just like normal paint? ie sand, prime paint? or will i miss on primer?
-
Well guys, its actually to paint my new debadged FK grille. Just now its just a smotth ABS plastic finish and looks a bit cheap against the grey paint, im trying to make it look as close to a standard grill in terms of finish as possible, hence wondering about textured paint. Does anyone know if these paints are actually able to flex slightly for initial fitting of the grill, i dont want it to all flake off when im fitting the damn thing! But going by this description... ...this sounds like waht i need. Cheers :D
