  1. I got hit in the side by a dosy bat reversing out of a space too! That's conclusive proof that Tescos attracts crap women drivers.
  2. Very funny site-plus they mention the corrado... http://www.sniffpetrol.com/issue028.html
  3. Ive bombed it up that stretch of the M25 regularly, the cameras only work (if at all) at peak times AFAIK And there arn't any cameras on the M3 or M4. Although the M4 is full of unmarked police cars...
  4. Yup, mine too. In addition to the above, Id get a set of clear/red rear lights & clear side repeaters to make it look a bit more up to date. The OE amber bits make it look like your granddad's car.

    Electric Recaros

I just sold my electric recaros from an edition 1 golf for £600. Id say they'd be about that much. At the end of the day, with things like recaros it's a seller's market so there'll be plenty of people wanting them, within reason...
  6. Does anyone know if these were a common option on later model VR6's? Better yet, does anyone have them and could show me a picture? Or even better than that, does anyone want to sell some to me?!?! Standard leather seats are great but I miss the comfy recaro-ness of my old golf...
  7. I got some minor damage repairs done at a place called Middleton Motors in Old Woking. Very good job, paint match was perfect as it was done by a computer and you'd never even know a dozy bat had reversed into the rear wheel arch! Fairly cheap too + turned around in one day. Got the number somewhere if you want it..just depends on where in Hampshire you are I guess.

    HT - leads mmm!!!!

Anybody know where you can get decent red ones from? Really set off a vr6 engine bay...
  9. Ive a laserline, if you mean it doesn't beep when you lock or unlock it you can turn them back on by unlocking the car with the remote, get in and close the door, turn on the ignition then open the door again press the button to arm the alarm and the alarm light will flash once if you've got it right and you will have arming tones again. If on the other hand you mean your siren doesn't work at all I ain't a clue.. Hope this helps though!

    VR6 Induction Kit

Hmmm,I like the sound of the turn2 one, anyone got any more info on them? Or better yet got one themselves?
  12. Laserline all the way, no fancy crap just a quality alarm which locks your sunroof and windows and comes with a lifetime warrenty. Got mine fitted by cats for cars in farnham. Very good install, plus they took out the original alarm for free! Which was nice...

    Electric windows

Just a thought, doesn't bother mwe too much but does does anyone else have the problem whereby they can't operate both electric windows at the same time? Or is that normal? Doesn't make sense that.
  14. Yep, Ive got the silvertec bulbs in too, make the rears look loads better too...just need to put them on car now!

    Crunch!

Hello, today some dozy bitch reversed into my car in a big 4x4. The damage is fairly small and could have been worse, missed the towbar at least! But her rear light cluster, which had those metal bars across it has pressed into where my rear wheel arch meets the back bumper (bumper got away with some minor scratching). Anyone know roughly how much it'll cost to push back out and respray the whole panel, given that it's a pearlescent paint? Also, can anyone recommend a decent bodyshop in the guildford/reading area? Cheers Jez
  16. MOT testers only check if your headlights work, not how they're wired up so provided you don't have a bulb out you should be fine.
  17. Got 140 out of mine first day I got it just to see what it could do, down a roughly 2 mile stretch of dual carriageway but then came to a roundabout. Felt good for a lot more though. ps did I mention it was a private dual carriageway?
  18. I too have one of his looms, will be fitting it saturday, bought mine off ebay and it cost me £31 inc p&p. Bargain! Here's one with no bids yet!: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... gory=28646

    M3 style lights?

FK ones aren't E marked, so are cheaper than the In pro ones. Haven't actually got round to putting mine on yet but most people on the forum seem to prefer the fit of the fks.
  20. Im with Adrian Flux, I wasn't saying that Im unhappy with them, because they are the best around by a countrymile and it is a damn good quote. But generally insurance prices are far too high. Tesco are pretty good too, was going to buy an E36 M3 Evo until I saw the servicing costs. They quoted £2,000 fully comp, Adrian Flux came up with £5,500 by comparison! Only problem with tesco is they won't allow any mods :x
  21. Im being ripped for £1250 full comp + cat 1 too. Four years no claims at 21 obviously isn't enough for some. Insurance prices are a joke.

    M3 style lights?

Call Gwent VW, they got FK ones in for about £170 their number's on this forum a bit futher down the list, got mine through the other day from them and look proper!
  23. Hi, have recently got a set of koni TAs with H&R springs. Only problem is I don't think 30mm a 30mm drop is good enough! Ive heard about some lowering caps that Bonrath make, anyone tried them? Or are they Brad Pitt? Your thoughts please!
  24. My insurance company wouldn't accept it, but its a bit rubbish anyways. Am having a laserline cat 1 fitted on Monday because the remote keyfobs have become seriously unreliable, I have to carry both set of keys round all the time!
