  1. Cheers fella. Im a bit out of my depth as far as electrics go. but ill try and give that a go. One thing though, you said fuse 22. My fuse box only goes upto 20? Its an Early Corrado 16v (if that makes any difference?)
  2. Hi guys, finally got back on the forum, not been lurking on here for a while. Ok, so LAST January (2011) i made the mistake of uprating the bulbs in my corrado without uprating the loom, and, you guessed it... The loom burnt out! :( Sad times right! However... i have now finally got round to getting the old headlight loom out and a brand new one banged in ready to go! :) Ive also bought an uprated look to run the higher voltage bulbs up front (so it wont happen again) HOWEVER.. one problem still remains, since the "burn out" happend i have lost the power to my Sterio, My heater blower and my Sun roof. I have checked the wiring and there are no other damaged wires, i have also checked the 20 small fuses under the dash and they are all fine!! ANY IDEA WHAT IT COULD BE CAUSING THIS PROBLEM?? Is there another fuse box somewhere in the car other then the one under the dash? Or is there a relay or something i should be checking??? PLEASE HELP! Thanks in advance :) Corrado Kid....
  3. had a read, yes thats the one i think! im good with cars, but i have to be honest, im out of my depth with anything electrics! If i take this into a garage, am i gonna break the bank? thanks for your help tho buddy! by the sounds of it, im lucky the whole car didnt go up!
  4. not sure this is in the right section. But basically My Raddo had a problem with really dim headlights, a bit of research revealed that this is a common problem. I see that you can get uprated looms on ebay and such and was in the process of buying one HOWEVER! By means of a "make do" solution, i had put in some uprated headlight bulbs and fog bulbs. Super bright ones. they made a tiny bit of diffrence and i was waiting for payday to get the loom... BUT! The other day i was driving and it started to get dark, i flicked my headlight swicth on and all of a sudden the dash board was up in smoke! I managed to pull over and get the switch pulled out which was scalding hot! :( BAD TIMES! Without taking the dash off yet and looking further, it seems that the earth wire comming out of the back of the headlight swicth has melted! I just hope and pray that the damage to the entire loom is not to servere!! ANYONE KNOW WHAT MY OPTIONS ARE? IS THIS GONNA BREAK THE BANK!? the car is still driving, but the lights, wipers, sun roof and sterio have stopped working! i realise this is probably fuses.. but whats my next step!? So gutted! Hope its not to crazy as i am very skint at the moment! PLEASE HELP! Aston AKA the corrado kid
  5. i can get one from a main dealer?
  6. mine is a g reg. so i think its "early" do u have any pics?
  7. thanks for that buddy! big help, although mine is a g reg. i think i have a late grill. i really like the 2nd picture. the ealry g60 one. do you knwo where i can get these?
  8. hi guys, i am in need of door speaker covers and A Drivers side indicator lense. Also, i am in the market for a full set of seats, any pattern as long as there black. show me what you got!?
  9. Hi guys, im normally good with VW bits, but new to corrados. Just wondering, what are my choices when it comes to Grills? i think im more a fan of a standard grill with a black badge. but the raddo i just bought had a 4 slotted de-badged grill. Also, you can get them with like 6 or 7 slots cant you? Where can i look to buy these? If anyone had some pictures of the diffrent looks to help me make up my mind that would be great! i know its a pretty basic ask, but something that im pondering on, none-the-less! Thanks. PS Also, in pics, any ideas or suggestion towards headlight or spotlight changes? Thanks again
  10. i went to this one thismorning ESSEX Stevens VW Dismantlers Drakes Lane Industrial Estate that you had listed. very helpfull and not bad price wise. :)
  11. Thanks guys!! ive put just under 500miles on her already. and shes been in the garage and had all new brakes all round. Going back in again soon for some service work. I was told that she is clean and solid underneath which is good, and apprently the suspention is like new! Plus theres a stainless system under there which i didnt even know about! lol! Just ordered some basic bits on Ebay, aero blades, uprated headlight bulbs, and i went to the brakers that you guys have listed on here in Chelmsford this morning and picked up a new parcel shelf, coz the one in there had 6x9s cut into it which just looks terrible in my opinion! Each to there own i spose! lol Still need to find: Door speaker covers a single door pin A Drivers side indicator cover And I would like to either buy a new drivers seat, if i cant find a matching one, a whole set of seats. or just get this drivers seat re covered. The bolster is worn through and it wrecks the look of the inside which is other wise spot on! :help: (IF ANYONE HAS ANY OF THESE BITS OR CAN HELP ME FIND THEM. PLEASE LET ME KNOW!! ) :help: Not gonna make this a mental street machine or anything, Just i want it SPOTLESSLY tidy! and maybe a drop and some new rims in the spring time more later! :)
