  1. Yes I have sent them out, for those which I have had a confirmed payment. When did you send me you cheque? I don't remember seeing it. Nothing written in my book against you for it. John.
  2. dazzyvr6, got some Protection if you are interested. john
  3. Just the clay bar without the quick finish lube/detailing fluid. Dazzy, should be shipping today, so should be with you by the w/e (if the P.O. don't go on strike!) john
  4. Clay bar is 125g, enough for 5 cars at least. You can use water, but the best results and ease, is by using the Quick Finish lube and interim detailing fluid. HTH, John. BTW, all the individual clays have gone for the time being. They are available as part of the Paint Rubber Kit though...
  5. If you wash the hell out of the dusters they should not leave fluffy yellow bits behind. I find the cotton boxers are really good for the glass. John.
  6. Thanks all. I am collating your details and awaiting payment. I am surrounded by clays bars (!) at the moment.......Fnahhhhhhhh, Fnahhhhhhhhh! john
  7. No it's not like a polish at all. A normal polish will not get all the little bits of muck off the paintwork unless you rub them a lot or use a really strong cutting agent. This gently removes the muck from the surface of the paint and it gets pulled by the action of the clay over the surface. It is used after the car is washed and before any Cleaner Fluid (in SWISSOL speak) to get the paint surface as smooth as a babies bottom! Then when you use the cleaner fluid and apply the wax afterwards, you do it to an already smooth. bit free surface. Quite often after you have 'polished' a car, when you go to remove the polish, you end up with little streak lines left, that have come about as the polish piles up against the 'bits' on the paintwork. Sometime these bits polish off but othertimes you end up picking them off. The clay removes them for you. You VR would come up a treat with the SWISSOL treatment. Just ask JM next time you go and see him. He will show you if you ask him nicely.... John.
  8. Skid, Glad you liked the product, and as I have said before, it's easier to use than the Zymol equivelent. Know what you mean about the cloths though, I have a nice supply of towels ready. I don't recomend using the microfibre cloths, as they get impregnated (!) with wax very quickly and just end up smearing the wax everywhere. john
  9. That's the one! The quick and easy way to remove the muck from the paint when preping a car. Normally comes as part of a kit, but a lot of people have been asking about them individually recently. It is also available in a Paint Rubber Kit, and it also comes with the Shield Wax. John.
  10. Is anyone interested in a SWISSOL clay bar GB. I should be able to get some 125g clay bars for £13 delivered to you. These are HUGE and enough to do about 5 cars probably! If anyone is interested please let me know ASAP as there are only a few available at the moment. John.
  11. That's still cheap for a BMW! BMW want £120+ for doing a mates 5 series. Not being done at BM now.....
  12. I would certainly budget for cambelt, plugs, dizi-cap rotor arm, charger rebuild, engine mounts (maybe) knock sender (probably), shocks all round, disks/pads all round, brake fluid change (when was it done last?) just to be sure that it is all together before you really need to drive it. How long is the MOT? Worth getting the seller to get a new one.....would at least show any faults up even if they are only advisories. Remember the MOT is the minimum maintainance you should need for running you car legally on the road. You should strive for much higher than this...... John.
  13. Can get tickets at the entrance on Fri & Sat only I believe. Sun is advance sales only. Guessing that it is £30 Sat as is was £35 Sun. Might be wrong though.
  14. Mer is jack of all trade and master of none---soooo dusty as well!
  15. Sounds as though the ignition map is up the swanny or you have massive overfuelling..... take the chip out for now, then at least you can run the car.
  16. A map for the show can be found here: http://www.streetmap.co.uk/newmap.srf?x ... search.srf john.
  17. Indeed it may say don't "polish it"....but it doesn't say "don't wax it"......
  18. FYI, Swissol & Zymol are waxes not polishes. I am not talking about the Cleaner Wax from Halfords, but the pukka tubs of nice smelling wax. The are minimum 30% carnauba wax by volume as well. Virtually all the paint shops now are using the two pack paint and it is totally dry by the time the car gets to you areter being in the bake oven. Therefore there should be no problem with applying a high grade wax , not polish, to the new paint to protect it. John.
  19. The £12 Zymol stuff is just Cleaner Wax, please don't confuse this with the pukka Cleaner Fluid and paste Wax. The results that you will get with each are totally different. If you think the results from the Cleaner Wax are good, then try some of the real stuff. You won't regret it! John
  20. Darren, will do. will let you know when in stock etc. john.
  21. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hi All, We almost have it sorted out at last. We have joined up for a show South East Hampshire & Chichester/West Sussex We will be having a show n shine on Sunday 13th of July 11am start, it will cost £3 per car There will be a Trade stands,BBQ, raffle etc...... Camping on the Saturday night at only £1 per person (if there is enough interest in camping the local pub will sort some entertainment out) you can walk to the pub in 2 minutes The show n shine is being held on a campsite, thus the £3 charge to cover the rental cost, but the advantage to this is there a toilets, water etc... It is being held at the Loveders camp site, Main Road (A259) Southbourne (hampshire/west sussex border) Easy to get to from the A3 etc.... Hope any localish people will be able to make it. See you there.... John.
  22. kevin, was that each of for the pair in the purple box? Also would never try a sales pitch on here... john
  23. Alternatively get a SWISSOL Sheild kit and you get a Paint rubber kit in with it! Seriously, I had a look at the clay you mention, and it seemed too sticky and soft to me, when compared to the ones I have. If you want a larrrrf, the Zymol clay kit is £60! John.
  24. Chris, go on, open the box! Hope you like it. If you do tell everyone and post some feedback and piccies! Got a second in class, but doesn't mean THAT much as there were only 3 in the class. Dunno with the post, but all the sent boxes do have SWISSOL tape on them and the customs ticket just says 'car care products'. So put 2+2 and you get a web site visit maybe, especailly if they see quite a few boxes coming through the main distribution centre...... John.
  25. The parcel was sent out from Switzerland to us on Tuesday 15th April!!! It arrived in the UK on the Thursday 17th April.....AND IT IS STILL SOMEWHERE IN THE UK FRIGGING POSTAL SYSTEM!!!! The sad thing is the Royal Mail still have no idea where it is....typical. The factory sent out another parcel which was delivered last Monday. Altogether we (Swissol in the UK) has had 11 parcels go missing and Royal Mail don't know where they are! They get from Switzerland to the UK in 24hours then sit in a dark shed for months. Maybe I will be lucky and they will turn up as well.....that would be VERY nice! Anyway, I am glad that you now have the goods and that you are happy with the bag of goodies. If you need any help with the application, you can always give us a ring or email. May see you at Inters! John.
