Ive not long done a full respray on mine and I removed window seals intact they went back in fine the only thing I did replace on the front screen is the push in rubber trim and rubber that joins your 2 plastic trims as it was about 7 quid off ebay. if you are going to take all the windows out get a company to do it as theyre bonded in and front screen can crack easily. Its up to them to replace it if they damage it. does the car need inside the door shuts and anywhere else painting?

Hello mate Im after the engine ecu, ecu wiring loom and immobiliser box with keys if you still have them? Also the little junction boxes off the top of the fusebox. -
Defo have a set!
-
Are these all spoken for?
-
Those pictures of it being painted were in an old WW2 ammunition bunker. My son thinks it's funny how I resurrected a German car in a British war bunker made to destroy germany!

Yeah I'm not too sure on wiring at all I may have even damaged something putting it all back. I've checked fuses but don't know how to check relays I've swapped fuel pump relay with a known working one but the more I do the less things work so gonna leave this one to the pros I think! I've done a 1z conversion into a t4 and that was simple because everything was already connected and running in donor so only had to transfer things over. I don't even know if there's anything missing or if the ecu works on this because it was a non runner when I got it

Well the project has come to a grinding halt! Ive tried to plug the fuse box back in and it will turn over but wont start. I dont know enough about wiring to go any further. Theres no fuel pump kicking in. I cant even tell if the immobiliser is working VAG-COM isnt connecting to anything so I will have to get an auto spark to have a look.

Yeah I'm not too sure myself to be honest, just wanted to try something different!
-
Engine is back in now just need to sort out the wiring side of it. The fusebox was in a carrier bag when I got it!

The "what I did to my Corrado today" thread...
willmason1975 replied to Jim's topic in General Car Chat
This is what I did today. Started stripping my front end for engine removal. The start of my full make it like new project! Found some nice rot on the Rad support. -
Has anyone got a late vr6 lower radiator support mines shot!
-
Is the lower radiator support still available and is it in gook condition?

Those blue doors look like the conversion I did to my black valver audi on one side and flush on the other.

I think my headgasket's gone...the symptoms...
willmason1975 replied to lard44's topic in Engine Bay
Compression test will confirm. Its not wear on the cylinder its head gasket failure between bore and water channel so when your engine is on the down stroke its pulling coolant through the hole in the gasket. When your car has been running for a bit are the hoses rock solid? The only course of treatment is replace head gasket if you want to do it properly.Job is not that hard if you can do a cam belt you will be able to do this. -
Bolt holes will only align one way so keep turning til all line up.

willmason1975 replied to lard44's topic in Engine Bay
Have you checked your dipstick? If its creamy water is definately mixing with water, if its spots on the cap may be condensation. If Head Gasket has gone it doesnt look like its between oil and water. It sounds more like cylinder and water. Timing chains are meant to last life of engine so if theyve been replaced you wont need to replace then again. -
Have you still got the passenger side front foglight?
