  1. thanks guys, did have a bit of a brown pants moment when i noticed the wobble.
  2. Sorry mate i don't but maybe worth giving gwerks or jabba a shout. found this .... http://www.dragtimes.com/parts/VW-Corrado-G60-Stainless-Supercharger-Installation-Kit_160430967987.html and there are a few kits on ebay. Hopefully someone will be on and able to help soon. ---------- Post added at 06:50 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:49 PM ---------- ohh just thinking.... i bought mimjed's supercharger off him as he is breaking his G60. Worth talking to him as he will more than likely still have them. :)
  3. As above guys, Changed the charger recently and noticed the crank pully wobbles on idle. Seems fine when reved but this could just be my eyes deceiving me as it spins faster. Checked bolt and 4 smaller ones but seem tight, could it be bent? Is there any kind of rubber seal/bush/gromit within the assembly that could have perished? Thanks in advance
  4. my g60 has never really idled properly. Will idle after it warms up but will just die when first started. Checked the BTS and seems to be fine, revs bog when unplugged anyway. (any other checks for the bts?) Has new leads, plugs, dizzy, air filter, coil. Could it be an ISV issue, O2 issue or idle screw on the back of the throttle body? Ticks over perfectly when warm and never idles rough or hunts. Drives fine and nothing coming out the back on tick over or under load??? Thanks Guys
  5. so is there anyone else that has the emulator tech apart from Jabba that come recommended?
  6. thanks guys, some good comments. dannyboy - this is my point exactly about jabba. Not sure why they need it for the whole day and £450 is alot of dollar. although i do like the idea that they can fine tune the car without having to take the ecu apart repeatedly to change maps on the chip chazard. Ohhhh, i don't know what to do...lol
  7. all done mate, will be another 2x £20 coming to you. (Forgot bout postage that why two lots of £20, lol) one for the mount and another for postage, that alright? Ok i'll see if i can get hold of Crazy dave. Will prob still be another 6-8 weeks before all done but want to know where i am taking it so i can rest my crazy mind. i go to bed thinking about injectors/cams/sensors!......yes i know, i've got issues! The GF asked me what i was thinking about last night as i "looked confused"? Like i was going to tell her i was thinking about the flow rate of different injectors!
  8. cheers Jim, yeah let me know if the funds are there yet when you get a chance. Will bung you another £20 for the solid front mount in the mean time. :) Jabba said they'd want my car for the whole day and would be in the region of £450  They have said they are one of the only ones that they know of that have the emulators to live map. G-werks advised they can do it, around the £250 mark  Wouldn't everyone just use a base chip most suited to my set up and then fine tune the rest of it before burning a final copy. Am i missing something about this emulator stuff?
  9. Yep my thoughts exactly. I've never been a huge fan of generic maps, any recommendations for me?
  10. As above guys... Spoke to them today and they have adv the business partner who was doing this has left. :( Was planning on getting my car mapped with then as i don't think their will be a good generic chip for my set up.... or is there??? Set up as follows stage 4 charger 65mm pully rsr forge FMIC Head work 1.9 bottom end 4 branch full stainless system mocal oilcooler schrick 276 cam red top injectors 3.5bar fpr Is there anyone else who can map my car accordingly that people are willing to recommend? I am in the South West but willing to travel a bit if need be. Thanks
  11. Thanks for the replies, KW seems to be the most popular choice but not looking to spend that much. I am fully aware that you get what you pay for though, i am a firm believer in that. I have had V2 kws on an old car and they were very good. But really want to keep the costs down as i seem to be spending ££££'s at the mo :( Anything cheap and cheerful? I know that contradicts my above comment about getting what you pay for but my current ones are shaking me to death, lol!
  12. as above guys, spending a small fortune on the G at the mo and thought i better change the current set up. Has coilovers already but the are real cheapies! They are rubbish, absolutely rock solid with no give. Haven't really ever tested them on the limit as they give no reel feel, apart from when they cause the car to bloody skip around in corners. not cool! Looking for something that i can adjust so it's not such a harsh ride but still keep a good drop (nothing silly) I want a sporty feel over the standard but not really looking for a track car set up as will only be running on road. Not looking to spend loads but want something half decent. It's for a mk2 golf guys btw. Thanks
  13. good advice, thanks. would you go for the red tops or a 3.5bar fpr? I can imagine my injectors will be pretty maxed out with the above.... I am not 100% on the internals of my G60. I was unaware it had headwork done until i got the headgasket changed by TSR, i asked them to have a look while they were there and they advised it has. I was hitting some really good figures on the rollers running poor boost on my old charger. Subframe was bottomed out as well (was interesting trying to get it off, lol) and had a bit of slip so expect all is not standard. Would be nice to really find out at some point. Apart from the 1.9 bottom end, does your set up differ from mine JMC? Trying to work out what power i should be seeing when done.
  14. As above for my for my G60 guys. Which plugs would you all run? looking to spend a bit of money on the G this summer, have most of the following but looking to add a few bits very soon. Set up will be as follows stage 4 charger, 65mm pully, RSR, fmic, mocal oil cooler, 4branch manifold, fully stainless system with decat, headwork, shrick 276 cam, 3.5bar fpr, redtops, with live map for above spec with D&G Thanks in advance
  15. Thanks rustynuts (thanks not something i've said before, lol) will do. What set up are you running? Engine spec, rad, intercooler etc?
  16. lol, good stuff thanks mate. Been out sourcing bits and bobs today and will be doing some more tomorrow so will try and get one. Going to do a service tomorrow as don't want to put the charger on until the oils nice and fresh :) Lots left to do but looking forward to getting it all up and running for summer
  17. No I haven't yet, guess I was hoping someone would have had the same issue and know, lol. The cars in my garage but miles from where I'm currently living so don't get much time to go there. Looking to get the car up and running for summer and I want to change the throttle cable for peace of mind :) I might have to take a trip to the car and remove the old one then and measure it. I'm guessing it will probably be the same as the 1.8 8v gti or maybe a few models wil share the same cable? If anyone else does no it would be great for your feedback. Thanks for ya message mattyattitude.
  18. As above guys. Is there a difference between the Corrado g60 and Golf g60/rallye in terms of length? Mine is a bit stretched in the golf and had to put a cable tie round it sideways as wasn't getting full throttle previously. Turns out the previous owner/s may have done the same as it now has 3 cable ties extending it, lol! Thanks Adam
  19. HEARD GOOD THINGS ABOUT THE SCHRICK CAM, NEED TO START SVING. aS PER USUAL I KEEP THINKING OF MORE AND MORE THINGS. :s LOL
  20. Cool, was unaware the rallye differed, thanks. Any recommendations on cams with my set up?
  21. yes i understand this, lots of people adv theres not a great difference between the 65mm pully over the 68mm pully on my stage 4 charger. As when you get up the top of the rev range the ISV vents off boost due to the 1bar limit. Is this right? So i was thinking on a 65mm pully and with the boost re routed back into the boost pipes i might be hitting over 1 bar?
