  1. First off...i need to say thankyou to both of you two who replied to me...I went to the shop today and it was the CV joint...I walked into the place...and he shows me this handfull of bits and pieces of metal and stuff...and he goes "This is what fell out" I guess it was bad....anyways...It's crazy how people on here know so much about cars...Anyways...thanks again for the promt help. My Corrado will be back in bussines faster thanks to you :)
  2. Whenever i steer my car...usually to the left, my car is making a severe clicking noise. I have no idea what it is? I didnt think its an allignment problem..sounds like something may be getting caught on the tire or something, and then snapping back...I thought it was odd..and it DEFINATELY doesnt sound good....any ideas?
  3. Alrite...im not very car saavy, so im sorry if this is a stupid question... My front left wheel has started to sqeak when im accelerating down the road....or just coasting., but when i apply the brakes...the squeaking goes away, even though the car is still moving....Any ideas?
  4. Alrite..Well i just installed my boost and air fuel gauges....Ive got some questions about both of them... The boost gauge...When i accelerate up to about 3000 rpm's or so...is shows that im getting vacuum rather than boost..and then once i floor it and get the RPM's past 3500 or so...is shows some boost...Is this normal to show vacuum like this? At idle, the boost gauge is at about 10 psi vacuum... The air fuel gauge shows the ratio for a moment..and then goes all the way down and then goes all the way back up repeatedly...Can i fix this? AHHH :x help...
  5. Yea the car shifts into second just fine if you do it by hand in the engine.. I think i may have found the problem? The shifter cable attached to one of the bolts seem to bend when i try to put it into gear...Could this be the problem? Yes there is grinding when i try to get it into those gears...after adjustments are made and i test drive it...It shifts into second fine the first time shifting up...But after that, its impossible to shift down into second, or even start from first and shift into second.
  6. I was wondering if anyone knew where i could purchase a new shifter cable for a 90 G60...
  7. Alright...well ive tried adjusting the two bolts multiple times...It seems as if i have the right settings...I can easily get the stickshift to move into the gear positions...but when i try to put it in second and fourth...the stickshift slides right back into neutral....any ideas?
  8. Hm ill have to give that a try...maybe its too loose for me or something...I can pull all the way back where second is supposed to be...as far as the shifter goes...and it doesnt even grind gears anymore...It just doesnt go into period at all...The engine just revs... Do you think that could be due to having those bolts too far back?
  9. is there any easy way to go about making this linkage adjustment....Im not too saavy with cars...Any instructions or directions?
  10. Welllll, im having some problems getting my car into second and fourth gear...And now it doesnt go into either...So i checked out the shifter tonite and i found that it was missing a circlip on the horizontal shaft that the shifter attaches too...The shifter would almost slide off on the left side....So i bought a circlip for that and put it on...Now it doesnt move left to right...But it still doesnt go into second gear at all... Has anyone had this problem? Is there a way to fix this, or should i just bring it somewhere? :x

  15. Im 17...costs every penny i make for damn insurance...and that friggin distributor..and that sunroof...and that supercharger rebuild...and....
  16. Alrite....well, i finally got my car back from being fixed (getting a new distributor) annnd now it starts up all nice and stuff....but that lame shifting problem is still there...Now the car really has problems getting into second and fourth gear....Both the bottom gears...Im thinking this is not a problem that could happen from bearings not being properly greased....Can anyone think of any reasons why my car is having these problems? It was getting bad last nite, and today i tried to go drive it, and it wont go into second at all. AHHHHHh .....Theres some much crap in that shifter...If anyone has an idea how to fix this, a picture would be helpful....If anyone can tell me how to fix this problem...Ill owe my life to you. Thankyou:)

    Karmann Emblem

Yea, i was thinking about that...Laminating it up real thick or something...I cant find any good pictures of the badge.. im looking for something thats not a photo...Like a scan of it or something from the website...No luck so far.
  18. Exactly how loud is this noise? Im looking for that hissing noise when you shift...Does this make somewhat the same noise as a blowoff valve? Does it make the engine sound crappy or what?
