When i bought the car...the supercharger wasnt in the car...and the car really drags ass at the moment....Ive never driven a corrado with the supercharger...Im hoping they go a little bit faster than what mine does now...About how much HP does the charger alone give the car? Right now....ide be lucky if i could do 0 to 60 in about 20 seconds... :x
  2. When you open the charger up into the two halves....each half has that spiral piece in the middle that when you put the two halves together, they interlock.....One of the sides, the spiral blade piece snapped off...Thought maybe you could just get the piece that its attached to and keep the rest or something....
  3. I could be wrong, but i think the part thats broken on the charger is called a G foil? Is there any way to replace just that one part? or the piece its attached to? Would it be cheaper?
  4. Im sure this question has been asked a ton of times on here...Im new to this site and im not quite sure how to search previous entries....just look at the current ones..so hopefully no one gets mad if i ask again.. My supercharger is out of my car....i took it apart and i found that the previous owner had snapped one of the spiral-y blades on the inside of it off...Ive looked around a bit at some prices for rebuilding etc...and ive looked on ebay at some that people are selling in working condition... Would you suggest i get the charger rebuilt, or buy a new one? Is this part hard to replace? Costly? How much (in us $ if possible) would it cost to get a rebuild which makes atleast 15 psi? If anyone has got their charger rebuilt...could you tell me where you got it done, how much, and what kind of boost it puts out? Thanks a ton. -Corrado newbie.

My car idles really strangely...It goes up and down from about 1500 to 100 and back and forth....It goes up, and then goes back down, and then right back up...then after the car has been running for a bit...it idles normally....Im currently running my car w/out the supercharger...does this have anything to do with it? Thanks. -alex
  6. Ide rather just stick a BOV in there...if it can be done...I guess it gives the supercharger better performance or something so ive heard?
  7. Can anyone suggest a specific exhaust that is slightly louder than a stock muffler when you gas it...something low sounding...but when your not on the gas, is pretty quiet.....Im looking for something that doesnt make people turn around and say "What the hell is that noise" but is different than every other car out there..
  8. Yea...i wanted to ask the same question myself...The person i bought my Corrado from had put a freaking flowmaster truck exhaust on it....It sounds pathetic....Im looking for something that doesnt sound stock, but isnt audible from a mile away when you put your foot down...Does anyone know of any websites that allow you to listen to exhausts online?
  9. Ive read that you can put BOV's on superchargers as well as turbos...Im in the process of buying a new supercharger/rebuilding my old one and i was interested in installing a BOV at the same time....Has anyone ever heard of this in a corrado? Has anyone done it? Can it be done? Is it a worthless part to have? Any info on this would be appreciated. -alex
  10. Hmm i like the headlights on your Corrado Dubbprince - Howd you pull that off? Kindof look like BMW headlights or something...
  11. Shush...i work hard to drive that thing....and thats about it haha. Costs me about $170 a month just to insure it..then gas (or i guess you guys call it petrol?) Man, i need to look for a second job just to roll that thing out of the driveway. Anyways...its got a few little problems here and there that really cant be explained by a book....I was wondering if any of you other corrado owners that know a ton about corrado stuff had some type of instant messenger service that i could ask someone a few questions on...I have a ton of questions that could probably be answered in one sentence...Thought it would be quicker that way than putting a message up on here every time i thought of another. So if anyone could give me their icq # or AIM screen name...yahoo messenger...something along those lines, ide greatly appreciate it....Thanks again. -Alex
  12. Alrite...well first off im 17 and i just started driving a manual for the first time...a G60...Im not sure if im doing something wrong in shifting...but sometimes its hard to find first gear...and sometimes it goes into reverse without even pressing down on the stick...Then once its in first, it doesnt go straight down into second...Is this typical for corrados? Its almost like theres something from keeping it from going straight down....I have to pull down, and then go a little to the right and then down....Any comments would be appreciated. I dont know a whole lot about cars and stuff, so if you know how to fix this, please put it in stupid person terms. Thanks again :D
  13. Yea my corrado is lowered a little bit...The top of the front wheels are almost on the inside of the wheel well...Im not quite sure how much its lowered....I know the guy i bought it from put some rims on it...I think they're 16.5 inches.....Ide like to get the front of my car to look like its closer to the ground....I I dont want to get huge rims and put really low profile tires on it....The tires i have on my car right now are pretty wide...Ide say maybe 3 inches...Im not quite sure...I was thinking either get one of those front spoilers to make it appear closer to the ground...or get lower profile tires for the rims i have now....I've asked my dad about doing this, and hes said if you get lower profile tires...the revoloutions of the tire will be different, and the spedometer will be off....Is this true? Is there any way to avoid that? Mod Edit: Pls stop posting in bold! VR
  14. Sorry about that...just re-read your reply again and saw that last part...Sorry...didnt understand the first time.... Im guessing the 90 mm one would go down closer to the ground, correct?
  15. Im not sure if im replying correctly...But thanks a ton for the info...Whats the difference between the 90 mm and the 50 mm...Obviously a measurement, but in what way.....I would imagine the bigger one would cost more money?
  16. On some corrados...under the front bumper theres a rubber piece that attaches to the bottom...I dont have the piece on my corrado and ive been looking to buy the part, but i dont know what the name of it is...If anyone knows, please let me know the name (And if you know where to get one, that would be nice too) Thanks! -alex http://www.f-knieper.de/Auto/Bilder/18-corrado.jpg You can see it in that picture....its the part right under the painted bumper part :?:
