the Ice is earthed and everything, as can be seen in the pic. Ive just gone and bought a foam extinguisher lol.....goes in the boot afterwards it was my boss who put the flames as nobody else seemed to know how to use the extinguishers at all. thinking about which way I go with either rewiring the car.......or Ive got the chance of buying a nice shiney new.....g60 engine

arrived at work as normal at 7:30am, parked the car up and thought nothing more off it, Loaded up my van(including my new wheels to be taken for wrapping in rubber and set of on my route at 9....... at about 9:45 I got a phonecall "fin, your cars on fire, can we smash the window" thinking it was a prank at first I just said yeah go on then. I phoned back to work straight away and spoke to one of the other lads and he confirmed what had happened. I then got a call from the boss "fin, best get yourself back here, it looks like an electrical fire, its a mess" I set of back in Silence fearing the worst. i round the corner into the car park, there was my beloved rado with the bonnet in the air :( but......in one peice wtf....when he said mess I thought i was coming back to just a shell. they had put the drivers window through and glass everywere, the leads have burnt right through to the copper and just melted plastic and pipes....apart from that everything seems good..........time for a rebuild me thinks :D

drive it!!!!! what else can beat the smile that the car will put on your face -
gotta get myself a battery cover.....had a prob a few months back with torential rain, was shorting out my battery everytime
-
I'm going to look at it tomorrow, that car causes me so much frustration with the repairs..... But the Coldstream route to Scotland put one hell of a smile on my face, even watching the oil temp like a nutter as I hit Edinburgh at rush hour I couldn't help but smile...... **** I love my corrado
-
ahh, temp gauge has failed but I havent looked into it. cleaned out the connectors on the bottle etc with wd40 before I left and again just after I crossed the border(found a dodo juice swab so used that, only flashed once or twice since but seems like that was the problem all along
-
WeLl I've got a 200mile drive in the morning so I will give the connetions a clean up, and keep a check on the levels on my way down, then clean the bottle up tomorrow, cheers
-
All I know is it's the light to the left of the oil pressure light
-
Oil temp reads just over 100 to 116. Looks like the temp gauge has since stopped working. Plenty of coolant and no air in the system
-
Drove up from Middlesbrough to fife, just as I was arriving the temperature warning light started flashing. Thinking the car was just a bit hot I checked coolant level, all the connections etc and parked it up, went to drive it today and from the of it started flashing.counted the flashes it was about 10 or 11 and then it stops for a bit. Anyone got any ideas
-
and yet I click the mk1 golf thread......ermm eeep

never know, someone could have them.........but after a set of fitted floor mats if anyone knows of an ebay link or anything let me know
-
it isnt a g40 lol, just a boggo olop, lads only 17 who drives that.....oh there was a load of swearing on my motor, undid the wrong bolt on the subframe and the lot started to drop, I had to try and push it back into place as my brother bolted it back together before shooting to halfrauds to get a trolley jack....lots of swearing that day
