  1. it turns in the boot, but wont lock it once its unlocked, so I'm doubting it will open it? also I cant push the pins down for some reason? there seems to be some resistance from the central locking system...

    Think im going to call a friend to get an alarm put on. its probably for the best as I have no security! hhaa


  2. I have seperate keys for ignition and the doors, dont know why but i do, however i lost the key to lock the doors today!

    how can i fix this?

    does anyone have a spare drivers door handle and keys?

    will mk3 golf door handles fit? or even the tumblers from the lock itsself fit?


  3. Map was a SNS chip bought from another member on here, so I'm assuming its using the lambda as I wasn't told differently.

    checked all the pipes and unplugged the blue sender and it wouldnt actually fire... also i have noticed the engine is running cooler than usual, a sign of a retarded ignition timing as well as the rich exhaust and the backfiring though the manifold. Cant understand how changing the manifold would have done this though. My mates coming over tonight to ajust the timing properly so i'll see how that goes!


  4. I know its running richer because the exhaust coked up after a 10 minuite run, quite thickly aswell! and as far as im aware it could be the original.

    i'll keep an eye out for it happening again, but even when i tried to stabilise the revs with the accelerator you could see the revs dropping.

    suppose it could be the ECU settling in, although i thought that without a lambda the car would run like horse****?

  5. Got a 4-2-1 manifold put on my G60 yesterday, and when I picked it up everything was fine, although when I went back out to drive it a few hours later it would start fine, then after about 5 seconds the revs started to drop and then it just cuts out alltogether.

    thought it might have been a cold start issue but it started fine this morning.

    Also the guy said that my lambda wiring was f*cked and he fixed that.

    although the car is running much faster now, it seems to be running richer than before.

    Any thoughts on the matter anyone?

  6. I have had them on my mk3 golf and have them on my G60 now, for the price they are well worth it, I am saving for some better quality ones, but I don't see it being worth it right now.

    but I have had them both wound down quite far. if they were raised, they could be crashy? but wound down they are fine, albeit a bit bumpy.

  8. not that its right to use another's photo, but maybe its genuine, and the guy didn't have a picture of his car, not a scam so much as misleading?

    maybe your C is similar?

    or have I got the wrong end of the stick completely?


  9. I have heard about people earthing their ECU's to better running...

    Tried to find articles on a how to but cant find any, but I'm taking my ECU out soon so I'm just curious, I cannot see any pre-existing earth.

  10. I need a new chip for my G60 i think i have the old gwerks one with overfueling problems.

    i have tried to contact JMR to no avail thus far.

    so can someone help me out? cheers
