  1. My rack on my 1992 G60 is starting to make a fair few grinding and complaining noises at low speed. What if any racks could i use from the rest of the VAG range?? I was thinking either MK2 or MK3 golf would fit as long as i change the track rod ends to suit. Can someone please confirm this or point me in the direction of what will fit
  2. Do you still have the engine loom by any chance

    G60 engine loom

As per the title. Need a complete loom for re-wrapping a few damaged wires are not an issue as long as all the connectors are present
  4. It took 2 m8 penny washers on each of the studs that hold the bracket on and fitted like a charm :)
  5. 48 MPG coming home from stealth racing a few months back approx 150 miles mostly at motorway speed :)
  6. Hi guys Im after a complete set of plastic clips that go on the rear part of the front seats. They sit inbetween the metal part of the seat and the runners on the chassis. These are quite urgent as i have an MOT coming up and mine dont stay on the seats when i refit them into the runners
  7. Fitted my front top strut brace. Bought it from eBay and was told it shouldnt fit a corrado as it came off a MK2 golf.... Had to move the expansion tank slightly and on it went :) I believe it was SeanL who had it for sale on eBay... good price and very quick delivery... on happy bunny today
  8. really does sound like ECU relay. mine would cut out when slowing down... then restart if left for a few minutes. Replaced relay all is now good
  9. ECU relay... G60s seem to eat them for a past time... ive been through 4 or 5 in the last year. Any relay numbered 30 or 32 will do the job... i found loads in a breakers yard in various different VAG cars
  10. stripped some of the loom tape off exposed looms in the engine bay and replaced it with fresh stuff, looks a little neater now... just need to remove some piping to get to some other areas and redo them... will eventually do all of it when i get the chance
  11. Nidor bodyworks. Theyre on Dawkins road in hamworthy... may be a bit pricey but theyre definitely worth it, had my last car done there and they were brilliant
  12. Seen so many of these threads. I have had a similar steering issue to you... i would get a loud clunking noise when turning at low speed. Have had my setup checked many times and nobody seemed able to figure it out... new rack and most suspension components replaced and it still did it. Turned out everytime it was put back together the mechanic and used an air gun to do things up and had been over tightening my droplinks.... i replaced them and torqued them to the correct settings and no more loud clunk. as the ARB doesnt hit the wishbones anymore. It was still hard to turn the wheel... well more so than other corrados i have driven. So i started replacing my topmounts again.... when i got them off i found that there was no upper spring plate on them so the coilovers were turning against the rubber of the topmount not the bearings. I now have another set of spring plates that i shall be fitting later today. Some of this work has been done by supposed VAG specialists that have been recommended to me by many people and at a considerable expense. It is slightly scary that these people are 'specialists' and they have done hundreds of other cars.... i now wonder how many others thay have done coilovers on and forgot to put on simple things like spring plates??? I shall be aquiring a garage soon if i can and be doing even more of the work myself.
  13. Finally realised why i am having issues with my coilovers. The setup never had a set of top spring plates on them its the one labeled 7 in the pic. I believe 16v's and 8v's share the same part
  14. Thought as much VR's have a different fitment of topmount do they not
  15. love it :D I think most of us have a collection similar to that for lifes little emergencies. You are now a proud owner of a 'man cupboard'.
  16. Hi guys I have been looking into these for a while for my G60... (would also work with 16v's and 8v's) I found these today http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-Corrado-1991-1995-Front-Strut-Top-Mounting-Suspension-Bushes-in-Polyurethane-/280853973847?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item4164338b57 anybody had any experience using poly top mounts??

    OIL cooler hoses

Hi guys im after the hoses that go from a Mocal oil cooler plate to the oil radiator. Both ends need to be 1/2 BSP... i cant find anywhere that lists them as separate items. I either require them premade at about 1m length each or the correct combination of hose and end connectors. If someone coul point me to a site where i can get them premade it would be great... or list the correct connectors and hoses from somewhere eg, ebay that would be great
  18. Mine does the same... The other couple of rados I have driven do the same
  19. Remove the cover by the bonnet release cable ( should be 2 pull tabs holding it) then look directly up inside the dash. That is where the spoiler relay is. Easiest way to remove it is to remove the clock surround(4 screws) then the dash vent. (pop the vent out the housing and remove the screw) You can now access the relay from where the vent was
  20. Think you have to trim the plastics on the radiator where the air guides screwed to. And cut a couple of notches in the golf intercooler for the bonnet release cable and to clear the slam panel
  21. My borbets have a polished lip and am going to either go with Aqua blue or white centres. I did have a set with a golden yellow centre and it didnt look too bad either
  22. Think I have a full set of early switches in my box will confirm later
