    Help!!!

how did you take door card off with door shut without destroying it? can you hear central locking motor working? has the handle broke inside tho should open from inside still
  3. take door card off and follow wires from switch to motor. go direct 12v to the wires and if the window works..fault is with module behind rear quarter panel drivers side. mine stopped and after exhaustive fault finding a tap on the module and wiggle of the wires made it work!!!! not ideal mechanics but result was what i wanted ---------- Post added at 7:09 AM ---------- Previous post was at 7:08 AM ---------- take door card off and follow wires from switch to motor. go direct 12v to the wires and if the window works..fault is with module behind rear quarter panel drivers side. mine stopped and after exhaustive fault finding a tap on the module and wiggle of the wires made it work!!!! not ideal mechanics but result was what i wanted

    Hey :)

welcome back... I've a satin silver going cheap needs a new home asap as its too good to break its in the forum
  5. 2.0 16v | satin silver | gloucester Price: 650 Description: 5 mths mot....needs a bit of tlc spare engine included need gone asap
  6. and its done.... the silver one is laid up in my garage while u decide to sell or break. after the usual and obligatory problems.. issues...and bits breaking...i got it though the mot. still have a few minor issues like rev counter goes haywire after 4000 rpm and need to tidy a few wires... even though i tripled my intended budget..it was worth it. felt the difference straight away. no so punchy but pulls forever!!! my corrado grin is back... plans are building now for body to be sorted then chip and remap for some subtle power.. should be out and about this summer
  7. rouge or cerium oxide will remove scratches i work in glass industry and we use it daily. needs to be mixed to a smooth paste and applied to scratch.. using a soft buffing wheel on a high speed air drill. you buff around the scratch. what a scratch is...is part of the surface is damaged so you need to wear the glass down around the scratch to make it level and then go over area and it will disappear..wheel needs to be wet at all times. if wheel sticks it heats glass. if scratch can be felt with finger nail...ie it catches your nail and sticks its too deep.. its a messy job!!!!!
  8. don't know about difference but im just finishing doing a 9a conversion not difficult if you have some mechanical skills i also have a the engine from the 9a for sale would benefit from gaskets check out the search function and look on club gti there is a wealth of info about

  12. anyone in need of above... engines done 148000 was running before removal would be ideal rebuild most parts there...metering head not great but available loom plugs have been cut at fuse box but can be rewired £100 to get it out of my garage
  13. ok engines in and the rebuild begins... sorted alternator etc.. still unsure about plug E and now the lambda....splice wires or use mk3 lambda
  14. first of all.....sorry if in wrong section right then I've stripped the wiring from C leaving lights ...wipers etc the abf loom i have still has the alternator and starter still wired including battery terminals.. my questions.. is it easier to rip out the battery terminals and earth from the c and use abf ones? also the abf has plug E attached can i leave the one already there or do i use the abf one.... i have searched and researched and confused myself a little
