L reg Rado Northwick Park, Harrow way this evening 8 ish. Hi
-
I think that sounds about right. My locksmith was a bit more expensive but then he had to gain access to the car. I also got two keys from the locksmith.
-
When I lost my sole key, VW were a waste of time. After over a month, I was told the car was too old for them to provide a replacement. Auto locksmith managed to get into the car, made up new key, coded to the transponder. I also have a TOAD alarm. If you email TOAD with the serial number and proof of ownership of the car (IIRC) they'll email back the pin code for the alarm. For me it arrived the very same day. Coding a new TOAD fob was dead easy - mind you the fob wasn't cheap - abt £50 I think. Cheers Jeff

That is one smart looking Rado.

Another Corrado owner here desperate for a bonnet release cable! If anyone can help please let me know Cheers Jeff

Hi Ben, Radorocco from the Scirocco Register here. Welcome to the forum and Corrado ownership. They're great little cars. Wish you all the best with your new (ad)venture! Cheers Jeff

Travelled from London to Edinburgh for my Corrado, London to Yeovil for my Dolomite and London to Warrington for the GT6! Haven't been disappointed in any of them. Maybe I've just been lucky!

Bonnet is only releasing on the passenger side. Any advice on best way to get the driver side open? Thanks in advance Jeff

Is the rear suspension the same on a 16V as on a VR6, looking at options for a replacement et up on 16V (ex-coilover of some flavour) Cheers Jeff
-
Am looking for complete rear suspension set (shocks, springs etc) Thanks Jeff

Quick shout out to the Rado (VR6?) northbound 7.45 M1 tonight Watford ish. Was a bit focussed on the road and didn't really notice you until it was almost too late. Was so surprised to see another on the road. ATB Jeff

All systems are go! Alarm pin code entered, fob coded in and have now managed to drive the Rado for the first time in months. One slight problem though, was whilst unlocking the passenger side door (with key), there was a bit if a clunk as something fell down inside the door and the lock barrel came of of the door! I guess some retaining clip or screw wasn't done up correctly, after the locksmith had put the lock back after taking it out to cut the new key. Now to get the door card off and have a look but the central locking does lock/ unlock the door. Cheers Jeff
-
Yay - Box located!!! Tucked up under the dash above the centre console. Now to see if I can get the pin code from the serial number. Here's hoping. Cheers Jeff

Chhers Jim, spoketo Stealth but not easliy done with the 16V ECU (although the VR6 no problem), however, finally some good news! My friendly neighborhood auto locksmiths have managed to open the car, cut 2 new keys, located the transponder chip and coded them in. Now the final step - onto the TOAD alarm! I gather from TOAD that they should be able to give me the pin code so I can programme in some new fobs so now I just need to find the alarm box (fairly sure it is behind the glove box somewhere) and get the serial no. Cheers Jeff

Cheers Geoff, we were just back from Cornwall staying over @ Caterham Travelodge for an early start to Brands on the Sunday for the BTCC. I love my Rocco but can't wait to get my Rado back on the road!
