  1. Thanks Jim, funnily enough I've been reading through your thread today as well. Well I haven't done much at all with the car over the last year. I've bought our first house and had loads of jobs to do as well as some serious work commitments which has meant the corrado has had to take a back seat. However I need to get on with it again now as I want to use the car for my wedding in July next year. I'm taking a slightly different direction with it now though. I'll hopefully have some updates in a week or so, watch this space! Thanks, Bryn.
  2. Hi bud. Sorry but it has sold.

    Thanks.

  3. Good work, it's so satisfying to see everything clean and fresh isn't it. It looks fantastic and the devil is in the detail.
  4. Cream leather recaro interior. Heated and electric adjustment. Custom sub enclosure. I am selling my cream recaro interior from my corrado. The front seats are heated and adjustable and all fully functional. The looms and switches are included. The drivers seat has little wear and no tears but has been touched up in places with leather dye to match the original colour. The passenger seat requires one of the levers rebonding onto the seat back. The front door cards are in great condition, they do not include any door pockets. The rear seats are in very good condition throughout. The rear door cards are good, however there is a small section on the bottom of each door card which would benefit from regluing where the leather has come slightly unstuck. The sub enclosure is custom made and looks great. It sits on a false floor and wedges tightly under the parcel shelf support. This is a very neat solution. Please see pictures below and if you have any questions or wish to see more pictures, send me a message and I'll do my best to reply asap. I am looking for 900 for the interior and 100 for the sub enclosure. Collection only from Essex. Thankyou. 7. All pm's replied to. The headlining, carpet, pillar trims and audioscape pods are sold, everything else is still for sale. I'm looking for £150 for the sub box and false floor and £900 for the cream leather interior which includes all the looms and switches to get the seats working. Cheers.

  9. Corrado cream, heated electric leather recaros, audioscape door pods and custom sub enclosure. I'm selling the interior from my corrado. The seats are cream/beige heated leather recaros with electric height and back adjustment. The rear seats include the bulge in the middle for housing the first aid kit (not included) I will include the looms and switches for the heated elements and electric adjustment. The Doorcards are cream leather and match the seats. The front door cards are fitted with audioscape door pods and focal crossover component speakers which sound great. The leather is in very good condition throughout with no tears or chafing. There is some light wear on the drivers bolster as shown in the pictures below. The headlining has been recovered in black material which has adhered perfectly and looks great, no rippling or sagging. I will also include the black pillar trims and black interior light unit. In the boot is a mdf false floor made in 2 pieces and a custom sub enclosure which houses a focal sub and fits tightly under the parcel shelf support in the nsr corner. This is a very neat solution and produces a punchy, high quality sound. I will also include the a very good condition black carpet and immaculate NOS genuine "Corrado" embossed floor mats. Ideally I would like to sell everything together to transform the interior of your Corrado. It really does look stunning and a lot of effort has been put into making it perfect. However I would consider selling it individually. I'm looking for 1400 all inclusive. I am based in East Essex. List Date: 6/19/2014 Location: Walton on the Naze, United Kingdom For more info, click here to view the original listing: Corrado cream, heated electric leather recaros, audioscape door pods and custom sub enclosure. -------------------------------------- On Sale For: ?1,400.00 (Local Pickup Only) -------------------------------------- Mobile friendly version: Corrado cream, heated electric leather recaros, audioscape door pods and custom sub enclosure. Rack bush size

I believe the smaller bush is for TRW steering racks and the larger for ZF steering racks. A Bentley manual will show you the aesthetic differences so you can see which one you have.
  12. If you could get the car or the gearbox to my workshop I could change your 5th gear and 3rd gear synchro, although you are quite a way away from Essex :(.

    Fuel Leak

It's getting more and more common to see these failing these days. I wonder if its down to increased ethanol content in fuels dissolving the plastic/bonding agent. I've heard loctite 9394 can be used, but I've never tried it myself.

  15. Hi guys. Anyone that's seen my build thread will see I stripped the CCM gearbox in my Corrado VR6. Second gear synchro was very weak which was confirmed by its condition when I removed it. Since stripping this I have found that this particular synchro 02A311269D (or the synchro of doom as I like to call it) is no longer available, completely obsolete and all new ones have been rounded up and wiped off the face of the planet... From what I can work out, VW used the early synchro 02A311269F up to 1993-1994 ish. Then bought out a new synchro which is 02A311269D. This was discontinued in approx 1996 and they went back to the older type which was continued into the early 02J boxes. This shows the difference between 02A311269F (upper) and 02A311269D (lower) So just a word of warning to those with late VR6's. If this synchro is on the way out, abandon all hope and drive it into the sea:mad2: (as you can see I'm quite mentally scarred by this experience.) The only way around it is to change the input shaft, 1st and 2nd gear and the synchro hub to the earlier style. Cheers. A very pi**ed off Bryn.
  16. Hi guys. Im looking at starting my own business as a mechanic in Essex and openeing my own workshop. I've created a very quick questionnaire to get a bit of market research from other like minded enthusiasts before I take my ambitions any further. If you could answer all eight questions honestly and then click the 'Finish survey' button at the bottom of the page that would be great. Click me Thankyou very much. Overmind
