After two years out of a VW I took the plunge and bought another Corrado. Its a 1996 2.9 VR6 in (schwartz?) black with Cream leather Recaros. The previous owner has taken real good care of it for the last 6 years including a full respray, brand new headlamps, indicators, fogs and all new door, window and tailgate seals. So heres the pics after a good wash and polish this morning, sorry about the rubbish iphone quality pics. The interior The engine bay It does have a few issues which I need to sort out, the passenger door lock is stuck in the locked position, meaning the door cannot be opened. The pump kicks in and unlocks the drivers door, fuel filler and tailgate but the pin in the passenger door starts to move then sinks back down to the locked position. The pin cannot be pulled from the inside (it is firmly stuck down.) I have unplugged the central locking pump and tried to operate the lock but again the pin starts to rise but then sinks back into the door. If anyone has any ideas about how I can fix this please let me know. I dont really fancy attempting to remove the doorcard with the door stuck shut. My only other idea was to find the vacuum pipe where it enters the door near the hinge and fire some compressed air down it to force the actuator up. I also have a few questions regarding coolant temperatures. When driving at a steady speed the coolant temperature sits at the line above 70*C. When stationary it rises to roughly 100-105*C before the fans cut in. Is this behaviour normal (having never driven a VR6 rado before I have nothing to compare to.) The oil temperature sits between 96*C and 104*C Any help on the above questions greatly appreciated. Cheers, Bryn.

Thanks for the welcomes and kind comments guys. She certainly has been very well looked after :notworthy: I live near Frinton on sea, right on the coast, but I work near Halstead so I get about a bit  I have certainly been very lucky with the opportunities I have been given at work Jon, it's a great job. Not without it's stresses but very rewarding when it all goes right. I'll post up pictures of some of the events I have been to if anyone would be interested to see them.

Hi guys. It's been 3 years but I have put a deposit down on another corrado! I should be picking it up this coming weekend, to say I'm excited is an understatement. It's a VR6 from the 1995 vintage. It has had a recent respray in its original (Schwartz?) black? The previous owner is a gent with very high attention to detail, so all the seals and rubbers were replaced at the same time. New headlights, and fogs/indicator units were also fitted a long with many other pieces of trim. Pics from the for sale thread I'll get some fresh pictures up at the weekend when I pick it up. Here's some gratuitous pics of my old 16v A little about me. My names Bryn, I'm 22 and a mechanic working for a classic Porsche specialist in Essex. We specialise in restorations and race preparation and support for Porsche cars from 1950 to 1975-ish. I'm also a qualified welder/fabricator. I've had VW's since I started driving; my first car was a mk1 C. Then I bought a polo coupe (fuel costs being a student.) Then I owned the red 16v Rado shown above, which I eventually swapped for an 8v gti. After the car being hit and run I broke it for spares and bought a mk3 VR6 Which pretty much brings us up to date, very excited about the new Corrado and getting to know some of you. Cheers, Bryn.
