    Replica Walbro?

Thanks for the link, much appreciated. I'm a young person in bull**** economy - there is no "only £100". In euros, the replica is 60€ and the original about 150€. So the price difference is huge. Even though the price difference is huge, and in many cases that shows the difference in quality, it isn't always like that. For all I know the replica could be made in the same factory, with the same materials, and the "Walbro" engraving costs 90€ extra. If I wanted to blow an engine to finding it out, I wouldn't ask opinions about it. :smug: But yeah, judging by the link you provided, I'd be better of with the original

    Replica Walbro?

Sorry if wrong category. Has anyone had any experience with replica Walbro fuel pumps? Replica is easier to acquire for me and almost half the price. But is it half the quality, or still worth checking out? Thanks.
  3. Hey, I just replaced the external fuel pump, thinking that it would be an easier and faster solution to one of my everlasting fuel problems, than converting it into a singe-pump, as I only have 1 car and have to use it pretty much every day. And now the plastic casing/reservoir has crack in it that some "handyman" had already fixed once with glue whoknows when. My point is, that I'm realizing I made a wrong choice, as this almost self-breaking piece of plastic costs pretty much the same as many walbro fuel pumps. And this "quick'n'simple" is getting to be a real headache. However, I don't have much experience with cars overall, so I have some questions. I guess all of the questions can be put into one big general question - "What I need to know before going to shop and buying a new pump?" Many people go with walbro, so I guess it's a good choice? If so, what model would I need? How much, and what customizing will it involve? I'm pretty clueless on even what to even ask really.. so any advice is greatly appreciated.
  4. Finally I can enter my car without leaving my dignity! Ha! Installation was simple and painless, and the service was fast. If only everything would be like that.. Thanks a lot!
  5. You might be my savior.. if I don't find something that is nearer, thus faster to me. Is it too much trouble for you to check how much will the postage to Estonia be and PM me the total pricing with paypal details? I'll probably order both sides just to be sure in the future, if I don't find any help from local VW club or shop by tonight. But to be honest I don't have too much faith in it. I'd be very, very thankful if you could help me resolve it as fast as possible, as I don't have a working central-locking at the moment, so I have to get in from the back now, and my daily routine requires a lot of rather short drives
