1. Let me know a price on the damplifier, I may have some off you. Do you think it would be ok on the floor/under rear seats too? Or would the ebay one be ok seeing as it shouldn't get too warm
2. Interesting thought, kind've a wuss though, I like to be comfy!
3. Does the tape have any effect? Much cheaper option! Glass bottomed Corrado you say...could be interesting...
4. Cheers for the advice. With regards to the dynamat, its a bit pricey, anyone tried this stuff? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220649059457&fromMakeTrack=true&ssPageName=VIP:watchlink:top:en
5. To be honest, never tried it! Only reason I think it's disconnected is the bundle of wires taped up in front. I didn't investigate properly as I had dinner to cook! Its a good car, not perfect though. Top of the windscreen is rusty, sunroof has stuck at some point so the paint has scraped off on the passenger rear side, drivers wing is rusty, passenger one is dented, couple of rust patches on the bootlid and drivers sill too but it looks like its just surface rust. Looks like both rear wings have been sprayed at some point, finish is ok but in the door shuts and below the window rubbers there is an obvious ridge between old and new. The plan is to smarten it up and put it back to almost standard, aiming to make a few small improvements but nothing major.
6. Some current photos, including the suspected alarm? Apologies for the poor quality, camera phone is ancient!
7. Pictures from when I bought her the first time, hopefully these will work. Off to take some current ones now http://the-corrado.net/attachment.php?attachmentid=52117&d=1329408535 http://the-corrado.net/attachment.php?attachmentid=52121&d=1329408535 http://the-corrado.net/attachment.php?attachmentid=52125&d=1329408535 http://the-corrado.net/attachment.php?attachmentid=52129&d=1329408535
8. Hi all, I am the proud owner of a '92 2 litre 16v corrado in aqua blue. Originally owned the car a couple of years ago but reluctantly sold it on when the starter motor died on me. Had a crisis of confidence in the car and as it was my daily I needed something I could trust (a Leon Cupra). About a month ago I was reading an old Practical classics mag and it had a buyers guide for a Corrado in it, I went all misty eyed and wondered what had become of my old steed. Logged on to Facebook and hunted down the previous owner and, literally that day, he had put it up for sale, joy! After some sweet talking of the mrs and negotiation to remove the Porsche wheels (put the car out of my price range) I bought it back :) Now it is a second car so, if/when issues occur I can sort them at my own leisure (quite handy as it happened almost immediately! Sticky brakes, passenger window), slight snags are my complete lack of mechanical skill/coordination of any kind, plus my budget, I have the grand sum of £50 a month max to spend and insurance has to come out of that too...plus repayment to the mrs for a small loan, so progress will be slow! Today I stripped the interior to trace wires and see what state it was in, pretty tidy bar one rusty area. Possibly found teh remains of an old alarm too so might have to whip that out somehow. I will attach some pics for your perusal later.
9. Afternoon all, just spent the afternoon removing the interior from my rado (seats, carpets, door cards). Mainly done it to check the wiring to the passenger window as it is kaput. Whilst stripped, are there any suggestions of things I should do? I was considering cavity waxing the sills and rear wings and fitting remote central locking, anything else worthwhile whilst I'm at it?
10. ...Fair point! Feel a bit stupid now!
11. Random thought, could there be a fuse issue? Is there a seperate one for each window or one that controls both?
12. Gave it a dam good thwacking but no joy I'm afraid, dam dam dam!
13. Thanks for all the advice guys, plenty to think about. The 'rado has decided to throw spanners in the works though, so brakes have been pushed down the list, although it is my birthday soon...
14. Crud, does that mean drilling out the rivets etc? Not sure I can get to all the attachments as it's halfway down :(
15. Have reloaded them, hopefully they should be working now.
16. Just found this in the bottom of the door, could this be the problem?
17. I have a problem! Passenger side electric window is stuck halfway down. Was working fine earlier, then tried to raise it-no joy. It clicks when you press either switch but no action. I'm guessing its the motor?
18. Oh, and a grey parcel shelf if you have it :D prices on all please!
19. Hi, is it a grey interior? Looking for a drivers side door speaker cover, a blank switch (left hand side of clock console- black) and the little blank that covers the left hand side screw at the bottom of the clocks console (grey).

What's it for?!!

Thanks very much guys, picture especially helpful. Will try and source some now!
21. Are there any upgrades I can do to the brakes on my valver? They seem really rubbish! Going to do a fluid change and a brake service but wondered if there was anything else I can do whilst I'm at it? Don't fancy a 5 stud conversion as I want to keep her relatively original.
22. Welcome, you have picked a great forum, everyone is really helpful.
23. Afternoon all, in the boot of my '92 valver, left hand side as you look at it, between the wheelarch and the boot lip is a black plastic strap, what is it supposed to hold in?! Would it be for a warning triangle? Jack? So confused!
24. As stated, passenger side is a bit ropey too if anyone has a pair! Edit: passenger on eisn't too bad actually, thanks for the offer diarmaid 16 will bare it in mind when I get to work on the inside.

Parcel shelf

Strange question, did parcel shelf design change over the life of the car? Mine has an MDF jobbie but id like a proper shelf. Are they all the same design?
