I've also had a problem with water in the footwells, every footwell apart from the drivers side. it only happens when i drive in the rain though, which seems like its being flicked up from the bottom of the car while in motion. havent had the time to take a look yet as i work away and use a works vehicle. found some comments on this thread usefull though and might have to try and tackle it this w.e. ill post up some pics and that if usefull to anyone. cheers all

britpop I live in cornwall, not to sure if that would make a big difference although it might be a little cheaper than living in a city because of accident rates and the amount of caars in the area etc. i have got cat2 immobiliser and alarm fitted aswell but i couldn't prove it to my insurers because i havent got a reciept for it. i got a few excesses to take into account aswell but nothng to hefty. Yeah hopefully next year, well when my renewal is up it should be cheaper again, fingers crossed.

Yeah i had a similiar problem which kinda sorted itself, they wanted proof of my cat2 alarm/immob but i didnt have a reciept to prove it so they buped the price upto 120 a month, i payed one payment of 120 then they put it down to 50ish a month. weird

Yeah i havent tryed them with mods, ive only got a stainless steel exhaust system the rest of the car is original. in time i intend to add a few things so will be interesting how they put the price up for someone younger, which is usually a b#tch as they think anyone under 25 with car mods is going to drive like a chav in a saxo!!

yeah that would be ideal thanks, i wont be doing the job for a week or two as i need to get a little spare cash incase something goes wrong, and to buy new interior. i was fiddling around with my centre console the other day because it was all lose and wobbly and managed to take it all out and put back in with few fittings but it does seems relativly easy to do. and yeah good idea to take pictures and lable everything, im usually pretty good with remembering where everything goes but better to make sure. ill make sure to look up on previous threads whilst doing the job. always nice to have something to refer to + pictures to have a gand at. Been looking at black leather seats + door cards etc on few sites, looks like they will cost anything from £300+ for a half decent set!!

was wondering how easy a job it is to get the carpets out, wash them and put them back in. or perhaps replace all together?? i have the 93 cream carpets and they have taken a beating and eventually want to replace the cream with black interior.

yeah i just played around with my sunroof. got it to slide back but very juddery, then when i closed it. i seen them scratches by the passenger door not cool. what does that mean? is it going to have to be a replacement, probably will seems the beading has come out of the casing towards the back of the car and has stretched a t aswell. bummer

Ideal thanks man, hopefully its nothing to bad for the moment as not working for a few weeks and moneys is tight. ill check the oil and then try the mix see if that works! also she seems to be going through abit of oil, and was wondering how much are they expected to go through, its not a vast amount but i've been through 2 small bottles in a couple/few months?! thanks again!

Hey thought i'd share my insurance price with everyone as it seems to be very cheap for a younger driver (21) i have 3 years no claims and i insure my VR6 (no mods) for around £750 a year!!! fully comp i tried searching for insurance on a vr6 for a few months and all the quotes were well over 2k the moment i tried direct line the said around 750, so i checked again, then checked again, and again... you get the idea so if any of you younger drivers are struggling with insurance might be worth taking a look at what Direct Line have to offer!! :smug:

i feel you there mate, i've learnt not to pull and poke if you lack the funding to fix it after you brake it!

Recently had this fairly loud clicking noise coming from vr6 engine, seems to get faster the higher the revs go. limped the car home two miles today after leaving it over night in a carpark! any suggestions?? cheers

in need of a black bumper + splitter for my 93 vr6. some muppet with a gurt X5 swerved out of the way of a twig hanging out a hedge the other day forcing me head on into a grass hedge, luckily i had the car slowed right down and just bumped into it now my splitter has been bent under the car and my bumper slightly damaged, having trouble finding one elsewhere. much appreciated. Jake

i sould be getting my first corrado this w.e from cardiff (would have got it last sunday but they forgot to change thier private reg over) and the only thing i was worried about is the fuel consumption, being young having a lower paid job (for the moment) i didnt want all my spare money to go on fuel, but from reading about all the different models and how they handle thier fuel, there isnt really a great deal of difference for urban driving, that said with any car it all comes down to how the car is driven. simple as. i recently sold my mk4 golf gttdi 115. only got around 28mpg ubran. on the moterway, upto 55mpg at times!

cheers, will be putting pictures up as and when!! as for now, lets get on it!
