cheers. still quite weird though. should i top it up with water? can it escape naturally or just when there are problems?

I lifted the hood today when cold and noticed the coolant was below min. After driving for 30 mins the coolant was back to max!! why? should i top up with water soon or is this normal. Does this indicate a head gasket prob or something?

hi my vr6 has the toad Ai606 total alarm. when i arm it it chirps 5 times instead of 2. this is annoying my nieghbours.. why is this and how can i fix it? cheers

Just bought a vr6!!! very tidy car - done all checks ect, 92k £4500. but when i got home, mayo under oil cap. Wiped it away and has since not re-appeared. Does this mean head gasket hell! or just a blip? If needs gasket - should i do timing chain whilst there as there is sometimes rattle? Whats the rough costs? cheers people

just saw a nice vr6. problem is there was a constant whine/whistle from the engine that worried me. What should it sound like? Also there was a lot of air noice when the breke pedal was pushed. He had the timing chain changed and said he skimmed the engine while he was there? i am thinking maybe the head gasket went and he's fibbing? any thoughts help!!!

thanks. might buy it then! engine noise worrys me though. are vr6's very noisey normally? i am worried as i heard they are expensive to maintain although i love the power! should i go for a 2.0? or are they the same maintianance?

hi everyone. first ever post. i went to see a m reg corrado vr6 91,000k fsh for £4600 today - generally good but few issues.. spoiler not working over 50mph or manually. 2nd gear sticky - gears are very loose tapping noise from engine??? in 2nd gear at hi revs steering wheel not centered when driving straight. pulls left very slowly All pedals very wooly. to me car seems great and dieing to buy but any advice will be appreciated. Are these problems big are resonable for the caa cheers ian
