Hi all, I've bagged myself an infinity basslink (sub and amp combo) unit and want to get it fitted (Alpine head unit). I've got the leads but am getting quoted £80 t basically run the cables. Can anyone help?? happy to pay a reasonable amount! Cheers!

Hi all, I've recently got hold of a Kamei eyebrow spoiler for my blackberry pearl VR6. I need to get this painted and fitted. Is this something I can attempt myself? how much should I expect to pay for the paint? or to have it done by a garage for me?? Cheers!

Have you got any pics mate? Cheers

Thanks for the responses guys! PM on its way Anton.

Cheers but now im confused! This was a reply I had from Destructive Dave yesterday on the subject....'VR6 beam differs slightly from the four cylinder engined cars. If you search for 'rear beam' and look through Jay Renshaw's build thread he has both beams side by side. The long and the short is that the VR beam is slightly wider (circa 15mm) but also has a beefier bush set up. Personally I would replace, if required, with a VR beam.' I checked the post and the pics do show a slight difference...Confused !?!?!?

Based in NW London and looking for a rear beam to replace my current one if any around?? Cheers.

Hmmmm I'm thinking perhaps someone who has experience or Corrados could probably give a better diagnosis. Any recommendations not too far from Harrow? (NW London)

Thanks guys, to be fair he did show me and I really should have taken a pic (note to self). He said it would be a problem to replace the bushes as the part they attach to is so rusted. What do the rear bushes attach to??

Hi all, Firstly i hope this post is in the right section! oh and excuse my ignorance please!! So my mechanic was checking out my newly purchased VR6 and giving it the once over for me. There are a few bits that he recommended changing and he is currently putting together a list for me. One thing he did say was a part underneath the rear drivers side of the car needed to be replaced due to rust. The part is above and next to the rear brake disc and is obviously some sort of frame. He said it must be called the subframe but searching on here I only seem to find posts related to engine subframe which this is obviously not. So my question is, is this indeed called a rear subrame? or some other part? The shield behind the brake disc is also pretty rusted too and probably needs replacing too. Once I get the list I will post on here, I also have a 2.0 16v and want to know which of the parts that need to be changed on the VR6 I can take from there. Will this 'rear subframe' (if thats what its called) be able to be taken from the 16v and swapped on to the VR6?? Many thanks!!!

I'll be there! Never been before but some of the pics from previous years look awesome! Just hope its a nice day! Anyone else??
-
Great! be good to get any Corrado enthusiasts thoughts on the new purchase and to be able to pick their brains! :)
-
Anyone planning on going down there?? Would love to speak to some seasoned VR6 owners having just got mine!
-
Also, anyone knowledgable close no NW London that wouldn't mind giving the car a once over?? (I tried the sticky link but it wasn't working for me!) Cheers!
-
Have you had them on for long? I'll be doing about 1000 miles a year so as long as they drive ok and give the car a nice look, sounds like just the ticket! Standard stance is far too high, my old 16v looks more menacing at the moment, cant wait to see the difference new coils will make to the VR6! :)
-
JOM a no no then??
-
Thanks Cazza, definitely my fav!! First job has got to be to lower the beast. Is there a generally recommended set (without breaking the bank!) Cheers!
-
Folder full of it!! Gonna take a proper look through it tonight hopefully

Hi all! Just thought I'd say hello after re-registering to the site after a good few years! Yesterday I picked up a blackberry pearl VR6 after owning the same coloured 16v for the past 13 years! 16v is still going strong, although I'm debating whether to keep hold of her for parts or sell on!) VR6 mmmmm what a noise :) absolutely love it! paid a tad under 4k for it but it does look and drive the part. All electrics working fine, nice Kahn 5 spoke alloys, steel exhaust, full heated leather, 3rd visor etc etc etc etc the list really does go on! all looking good apart from a small rip in the rear seat (any suggestions in London?) Will post pics ASAP! Just wondered if there were any obvious things I should have looked out for as I kind of went with my gut on it and don't know huge amounts about the VR6 I must say! Oh forgot to mention came with a rather nice plate which reads M1O VW :)
