  3. Ok just spent £120  on a good Auto Electrician thtas been out for 4 hours as my car has not been turning over since i moved the fuse box to replace the bonnet cable.

He checked everything and is 95% sure it is a blown ECU caused by a 3 plugs being lose at the back of the fusebox causing a erm surge?

Anyway he had all the right equpment and books with the correct figures and he def wasnt a cowboy! His hourly rate prooves that! :x

Anyway ive heard this isnt common? Ive also heard I need a slap across the face for paying £120 on a sparky! :?

    so what do i do?

Im waiting on 2 edinburgh companies who send the ECU away and its not cheap! looking at £200+

Or do i risk getting a 2nd hand 1 and hope it works?

The next problem is that the car has to be ready for Fri the 24th to go to Nurburgring! yep im pushing it! :?

any opinions, comments, etc Any1 been in same posisition before?

    TIA

Wings, bumper, bonnet are all on and door is ready to go on,

ordered new FK highsports coilovers, rears are on, but gota wait till tue for new spring caps till i get the fronts on,

and this now is the only thing holding me back really! :x

bonnet catch is just about done, heaters are no were near ready and just needing a machine polish now.

If i have time the new vibratech front engine mount should be on before the trip to the ring, but the exhaust and delocked door handles wont.

  9. That car is so awesome, simple yet so effective.

That's the best formula on a Corrado, its looking really good, can't go wrong with red rears and the wheels are one of the few styles and qualty that genuinely suit a Corrado :rainbowafro:

Couldnt agree more! The stance is just so right!

Love the alloys, red lights and the wee black bull! 8)

better not show my gf this, shes half spanish and will prob want 1 on mine!

  10. AARRRGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!

Sure enough the part they'd ordered me was the fascia panel

    The actual part is £154

    Current state of play

    a) if anyone sees/knows of a working 2nd hand switch panel (4 speed, no a/c) can they let me know

    b) In the meantime i have just been to my local scrapyard and liberated an Audi 80 control unit which seems to fit in the hole and the cables are in roughly the right place, although i'll need to use the C's knobs and fascia. Or i might 'extract' the fan switch and 'join' it on to my original

    Bloody cars!

I got the exact style from a passat? what has to be done to make the passat heater controls work with the corrados?

my temperature knob doesnt conrol anything,my directional 1 is stiff and wont move all the way round and my other only works on 4!

I gota lot of work to do!  :?

  11. I was fitting my new sleeve on last nite and the bonnet catch cable wire will not stretch anough as i cut the old sleeve off!

So i now need a new bonnet catch cable, runs from the bonnet catch, along wing through slam panel, any tips? and howw much we looking at?

    TIA

  12. Dont like mazda mx5 wing mirrors and i dont like the rx7 either im afraid! dont understand why folk change mirrors, the corrado mirrors are perfect with the proportion of the bodywork, and if there good enough enough for maclaren and tvr there good enough for me!

    but each to there own!
