  1. I don't understand why members are getting so worked up over the price people ask for car parts (which are obsolete). It reminds me when i used to get all worked up when friends tried to impress me with their expensive items. But Action men and Star Wars toys don't bother me anymore, i don't get jealous anymore, i've 'grown up' and learned to understand that people can afford things which i can't! I needed and wanted as much cash as i could get for those Roof Mouldings. Putting aside all the bad press i got here (from some members), i did manage to sell them on 'Ebay', and surprisingly enough to a member here on Corrado.net! Below is a Private Message i received from the buyer (I'm sure an Admin can verify it, and other messages i've received)... 15th July 2015 Hello Fitcy, thanks mate for the roof strips, they were delivered on Monday but unfortunately I was out, so collected the parcel on Tuesday morning from my local Royal Mail sorting office. Top notch service mate and the roof strips are spot on, nice one. PS mate just ignore all the negative people / comments on here, you do what you want to do. Thanks again XXXXXXX .......................................... There are people more than happy to pay for something they want! An original obsolete item is far more expensive than a Chinese knock off! And well done karmannski for all the hard work you put into this venture, you saved me the bother mate!
  2. Hi karmannski, did you get the mk2 tested
  3. Thanks mate, you know exactly what i mean, would you sell your's?
  4. I really don't care if i sell these trims or not. I put a £400 'buy it now' (just to test the water). They are worth more than £400 to me. At the begining of this thread i said i wouldn't take love nor money for them. But i decided i could do with the money. I wasn't asking £400 for them, it was a buy it now price. Ebay/PayPal is £60 plus P+P. People could make there own offers and i would consider the offer. Rather than make an offer, members here would rather ridicule me and call me greedy. I had an offer of £350 from a member here. That member wasn't from the UK, I was considering his offer 'depending on what the postage cost to his country'. That member hasn't got back to me, i'm not saying it has to do with the negative feedback on this thread, but i find it totally disgraceful the way members here behaved on this thread. I started this thread to help others, i never wanted to sell these trims in the first place but i was getting private messages asking to sell them, so now i'm giving people chance to do it. What more do you want!
  5. Thanks mate, means a lot, i was starting to think the whole community had turned against me.
  6. Apology excepted mate. I have help the corrado community before, i did this group buy... http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?76668-(Group-Buy)-For-Corrado-Heat-Shield-Hood-Liner and i never did that to make a profit. Thank you for not clogging the thread mate.
  7. My first post said that i was tasting the water. I already have an offer of £350 from a member here, there's some people that don't mind my asking price.
  8. I don't understand why you're getting so upset. I'm trying to get as much as i can for them. That doesn't mean i'm still not a kind and helpful person. It's very unfair of you to call someone you don't know 'GREEDY'. If i seen something in a store window which is very rare and they were asking twice or three time the original price, i wouldn't say they were greedy ****s, i probably say to myself 'i wish i could afford that!'
  9. Mate the trim are new and sealed, air hasn't got to them. Light hasn't got to them either because they have been kept in that cardboard tube since they were posted to me (they've been hidden away from the elements). The date they were made is on the sticker (16/02/2010) Expire date (None) I was tasting the water with the £400, but I've already had an offer of £350 from a member here and i've told him i'm considering it. Mate, i'd say if you owned them, they'd be priceless to you. I'm guessing i'm going to get a lot of haters for asking that price, but think of it this way... How much would you sell them for? I don't have a Corrado anymore and i still hate the thought of selling them incase i come across another Corrado.
  10. I have listed the Moulding here on Ebay... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/252000341640?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649 Any member here (the-corrado.net) can PM me with an offer without the Ebay charges
  11. Forgot about that last post i posted, had a few beers that night :drinking: I will, put up the roof trim for sale in the next day or two. karmannski i started this thread to organise or get information to find a company who would make these replica roof trims. You stopped me on my tracks with this post/comment... That was 6 months ago, how was i a bit late? You said you had a new batch on the way. From your photos i've only seen 2 different samples. Are you definately getting them made? Because within that 6 months period i'm sure i could've found a company and had the tests done. If the mouldings were the right fit, the only main testing to be done would be UV degradation (wouldn't want them decaying and crumbling into bit's within a year). You know what Chinese company's are like, they wouldn't care what they made the trims from as long as they got paid.
  12. LOL, i have to sleep on it, i don't know an asking price mate.
  13. Sold my Corrado , so my roof moulding and other bits and bobs will be up for sale, i'll list them in the for sale section tomorrow :thumb right:.
  14. Hi mate, just curious how you're coming along with these?
  15. Hey mate, just wondering how you're getting on with this buddy.
  16. I take my hat off to you mate. And thanks for saving me. A member pm'ed me at the beginning of this thread saying he had already looked into getting these made, when he told me it would've cost around 30k just for the tooling costs i near sh*t a brick lol. As for the UV protection, we can use this http://www.amazon.co.uk/Neutrogena-Ultra-Dry-Touch-Sunblock-Ounces/dp/B001OMIA0A/ref=sr_1_6/276-0716778-0930409?ie=UTF8&qid=1412938462&sr=8-6&keywords=sunblock+spf+100 LOL
  17. When i was inquiring about what kind of rubber to use, i was told it wasn't much the weather (cold and hot), but i'd need a rubber that's UV resistant, the UV attacks and degrade rubber. I found a link about it here, you can look into it mate, maybe you can add some sort of additive to prevent the UV damaging the strips. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UV_degradation
  18. Respect right back at you karmannski, it would've broken my heart to cut them up. I'll put my name down for a set too mate. No way Jon, if you haven't stuck them on by now i don't think you every will lol
  19. Well there you go, nice one karmannski. Mine aren't for sale mate, i was just going to do the club a favour with them. Hi Jim and Jonathan, hows your bonnet heat shield holding out?
  20. Hi, I have a brand new set of corrado roof trims, still in sealed packaging. A couple of years ago i bought these for my Storm, they were the last set in stock. I sold the Storm back then, and kept the strips for my G60. I won't take love nor money for them so please don't ask. But what i'm willing to do is try find a company who will copy them. If anyone can give me information to a reliable and trustworthy company to do it, i will give them a free set of trim when they are made, trust me, i will, I did a group buy a couple of years back, hopefully every member who was involved can vouch for me. If a member knows of a company please pm me rather than broadcast it incase it may not be legal to do, i'll have to look into that aswell. here are photos of the trims
