This dyno was taken a year and a half ago right after my Stage 4 rebuild. The only mods I had at the time were the Chip (UnKnown), pulley, Stage 4 charger and Miltek exhaust. I've got less power at the wheels than you Roddy in this read out. And a massive 52.5 BHP loss through the transmission. Does anybody know how I can free some of this lost power up? :( I'll see what I've got now at Star Performance in a couple of weeks. Norm power...........193.3bhp Engine output.........182.5bhp Wheel output..........130bhp Drag output............52.5bhp Torque...................205lbf-ft Pau1

I know you can get those small supercharged badges from Trimsport. 3 different sizes avalible. :)

Well i did the passat handle mod today. Managed to get 2 sets of both locks and handles from the local scrapy. Nigwell hopefully you'll have had your car locked. But if you're still having problems make sure you've attached the white plastic clip over the locking tab on the passat locks and have the rods checked for movement. Both handles work perfect and look good. Have to say this is a very worthwile mod. Small price and extra security.

Thanks for the help, thats good news. I will keep you updated...

Yes , but the plastict tabs at the bottom don't line up properly. You'd have to remove them. I drilled a couple of small holes in the grill where the tabs should of been and used two self tapping screws as the new locators. You can't see the screws once the grill is in either. Pau1

Well Nigel, If any more planes crash in the next 6 months my girl friend will refuse to fly to Spain this year and I'll have to drive there instead. I'll be there from the 18th of August till the 29th. I'll keep you posted. Quite looking forward to the tour... Have to meet up for a few pints too. Where abouts are you in Spain. Pau1

Cheers Munkay Must add though the dump valve really helps in keeping my custom intercooler pipes from blowing off !!! Plus the noise puts the fears in the minds of unsuspecting turbo boys... See you @ Star Performance Pau1

Hi Munkay, Spoke to Roddy yesterday and he mentioned your new purchase, well done. Send me a email if you'd like to come for a blast and I'll show you the difference the Stage 4 can make. All the best on future Corrado'ing... Paul

After market Exhausts and Lowered C's How to make it work!!
Pau1 replied to G60Jet's topic in Engine Bay
I had the same problem with my Miltek hitting the back axle too. I stoppped the noise by ty-wraping a small section of rubber around the axle and it stopped the noise completely. I've had the same piece of rubber on for 4 years now and it still doesn't need replacing... Paul -
Hi, The noise you hear is probably your clutch release bearing going. They aren't expensive about £30 but fitting it will be a pain, as you've obviousy got to split the gearbox off the engine. It's worth having a look at your clutch plates too while everything is off. The longer you leave it the worse it's going to get, trust me it happened to me last year and the noise just got so bad. :? Yeah Spot on... The most common fault for the MFA's MPG is the vacum hose that attaches to the back of the instrument cluster. Either it's not on, or it's got a leak. Paul

Hi, Could be wrong but a 95 Passat will be too new. I think you'll need to find a 87-93 Passat. Paul
-
Oh , and i forgot to say that you should only be running it on OPTIMAX fuel. The VW needs 98 RON petrol and normal Super only gives you 97. I know Optimax is more expensive but you'll get better MPG out of it. Paul

Hi, Sounds like the fuel LIFT pump has gone. Mine did this last year. I replaced the Fuel Pump and it still did the same, but if you replace the fuel LIFT pump it should stop. Paul
-
It's instead of the original one. It only fits behind an RS bumper though remember, and I haven't seen a Corrado with A/C, do you have any piccy's of your engine bay?

Here's some piccys more to follow tonight... Don't worry, I've replaced the rusty bits now... Paul
