  1. Hi everyone i need some urgent advice. currently in the middle of a 20vt conversion. Got the engine in, bolted to the mounts and supported under it own weight. however it is sitting to high. not by much but i can see that the intake manifold would not clear the bonnet. has anyone had this experience? What's the fix? I have used all the mounts previously on the 2.0 engine so can't understand why its so much higher. I've read the 20vt sticky thread several times but can't see anything unless I've missed itWould rather not have to chop a hole in the bonnet... Would really appreciate any help thanks

Hi does anyone know if there's a difference in the wiring between early and late doors? for example a slightly different pin configuration to the cental locking system? story is, just bought a pair of doors i believe are later model to replace the dented and failing ones on my 92 16v. replaced the passengerr side door without issues and connected all wiring. too easy.... locked the car via alarm central locking but then couldn't re-open it. sounded like it was trying to operate the locks but they stayed locked shut. no joy with keys. i finally got into the car via the boot and over the back seats. removed the under dash tray and unplugged what i believe to be the connections to the central locking, and hey presto! so at the moment the locks work as before however the smaller of the two central locking connections has to be unplugged otherwise my C is fully locked down with entry and exit via the boot only! have the drivers door to do next but i'd rather find out whats up with this before i continue. any advice appreciated
  3. hi mate. possibly looking at the doors, are they with or without the plastic molding strips? need without. and possibly wings again without plastic trim. and a price for those. many thanks
