I have a 92 made vr6 but classed as a 93. Model. I've just done the wheel bearing and drive shaft on front drivers side and I just want to make sure the torque setting is right for hub nut onto drive shaft. Should it be 265nm same as all other corrado? It is mentioned that it should be 60 odd in some places but am I correct in thinking thta is for later vr6's? Also got a strange noise under hard braking now like something rubbing anyone got any ideas? Cheers andy

Would also be interested in splitter.

cheers for the replies, i had alittle look around and it seems a few people have mentioned that it is common for them to seize if the adjuster is at full soft or hard. so i have the 3 remaining shock at a quarter of a turn. just to make sure i have this right. all the way anti clockwise is soft and clockwise is stiff/hard?
-
i bought a set of koni coilovers from here and three adjuster on the top worked fine but the forth was siezed. i took the chance with pliers tried to free it off and it snapped off. does anyone know if i can send the shock off to be rebuilt and fixed or is it a case of a new shock? thankfully its still useable as i think its in the softest position. cheers andy

This is the one that was welded on right? If you could send us a few pics of it? ill have a quick look and see if its of use and if so that would be great

I'm looking for one that doesn't require any cutting. Do you think it could be cut and welded ect and changed to allow it to be used with out cutting bumper?
-
brilliant, ill give it ago, you needed different coloured bulbs for indicators or reverse? actually given me some real inspiration to get on with mods to my car reading your thread. always wanted to give spraying a try and nice to see someone who has gone for it.

loving the car and love the wheels, looking at buying some at the minute, what size and et are they? any problems with scrubbing?
-
Found it on vw vortex.been looking at porsche and mercedes wheels and found this pic. There is a standard wheel very similar but can't seem to find any pics of them on a corrado so not sure if they look just as good or not.
-
what are these wheels? and what size are they? i thought they where standard merc rims at first? but then after zooming in they look alot smoother around the holes than standard merc wheels. cheers andy

I'm after a tow bar, don't really want one that requires bumper to be cut but if that's all that people have then I may take it and modify it. Don't think it makes adifference but its a 92 corrado. Cheers andy

well just for reference for people, i sprayed the thing with oil a day or two in advance. i did it by just removing the battery no need for coil pack to come off. the irwin bolt grips did it in seconds. i checked the thermostat that was removed and it appeared to work but with all the news bits on i appear to have better engine temperatures. so dispite the thermostat that came out working it always pays to replace it.

i did try that briefly but it was abit in between sizes for the torx keys ---------- Post added at 6:21 PM ---------- Previous post was at 6:19 PM ---------- well that was my plan to go stainless. with my hours of work ill struggle to get to local shop so thats why i asked of something online. you able to supply me and how many pennies? cheers

looks like the sets do go small enough, the head is 10mm on a m6 cap head. sadly im not local im in burnley lancashire, ill buy my myself one this week. im guna try penetrating fluid all week before having ago
-
Just looking now, but I don't think the sets go small enough
-
Well I made the mistake of not using any penetrating fluid the three thermostat housing boltts at the weekend and two have rounded off, fustratingly the bolt at the bottom if one of them. What have most people done in this case I was thinking along the lines of drilling the heads off so I can get the housing off and then I should be able to get the bolts out? Also any one know of a website with the bolts listed to get online? Cheers andy
