1. yo, today my driveshaft decided it wanted to snap inside the hub, lost a centre cap, the hub nut and part of the splined shaft. this has broke the wheel bearing and no doubt the drive flange, its caned the brake disc and carrier (288mm upgraded) has been cut into by said disc (can get one no sweat). what i need to know is are theese corrado only parts OR can i use parts off other models? ALSO heres the list of parts i need so far,if anyone on here has what i need in good condition, get in touch! - N/S Corrado VR6 Drive shaft + Hubnut - N/S Corrado VR6 Hub assembly (pref with good bearing) - N/S Corrado VR6 Track Rod End - 2 x Speedline Centre Caps Any help with this would be greatly appriciated, im copying it into the wanted section also CHEERS CHRIS!
2. i believe i saw a set on ebay not too long ago, whether still up i dont know, remember seeing the price at like 180
3. cheers mate (Y) i pulled them out of a scrap yard i know very well (for the last 4 years ive been going there 1 or 2 times a week) which has worked out well for me as im allowed in after hours haha and i payed a 5a for both door locks ;), nearly everything ive got for the car has been the best for as little money as possible, havnt really looked into passat handles but im guessing thatl be the route ill go down. that or i buy a repair kit. :awesome:
4. yeah, was a faff on to fit the drivers side, which will work once i replace the door handle which has broke (HA!) havnt fitted the passenger side as it needs a bit of "adaptation" to make it fit, wont be doing that untill the drivers door handle is fixed, i like being able to get in and out of the car haha
5. yeah, not a mod for the faint hearted as the only way to get them to work was my using parts of my origional door locks. i pulled my set of this model, 2.0 20v, non turbo, FWD. nothing special so assume most models will have them fitted.
6. *****BIG UPDATE***** Athough its been a while since ive updated this, rest assured things have not stopped happening to my baby, First big change, a full heated black leather interior, i absolutly love it, heated seats work champion. hardest part of doing it was working out where to plug the wiring loom in, but in the end i just wired it up to the cigarette lighter, constant live so i can have heated seats without ignition needing to be on. also, i hate corrade door cards. in the rear shot Then i finally got round to replacing the rear parcel shelf, so much better not seeing 6x9`s all the time and whilst i was there i made my rear speakers work again Then some wizardry happened with a set of Audi Coupe door locks ...... mmmm chrome. Then, it was the turn of the 288mm brake upgrade to get some paint and from then on ive just been enjoying the car, apart from cleaning/maintaining it, shes getting pretty much where i want her to be now, just a bit of paint in a few places and a wheel refurb left to do, amazing looking back through the photos on here and seeing how much shes changed! bit of a posing shot.... also some pics of my baby and my best mates pride and joy Then we all had a run over to cumbria vags, which was pretty good, although i did prefer the year previous. (some high quality porn)

10. oddly, this happened on my vr6 after it had been parked up for appx. 4 months, i just narrowed it down to a clip not being on 100% and extreme rain
11. this made me laugh, im from blyth just outisde newcatle, i found the corrado in the exact year, spec, colour, engine ect down in camborne, bought it, then booked a flight, 2 trains and a bus, and drove it all the way home without a hitch :D but yeah, looks like youve picked up a minter there mate, wheels look mint!
12. this is my current favorite from last weekend when i took her up to rothbury, awesome weather, awesome roads, awesome car :D couldnt have been better
13. just after some advice really as to what this could be, it comes and goes, when i last ran it i never heard it, however its sat for about a week, started her up yesterday and a clicking in time with the engine has started, it doesnt sound like a chain rattle, more a metallic tap which follow the engine speed, anyone had a similar problem? chris
14. well, my plates were in the post yesterday, sent recorded delivery and there on my car now as im writing this :D over the moon with them, excellent quality, bang on what they should look like. pictures really dont do them justice, also ignore the 6x9`s, just pretend you havnt seen them, ive bought a parcel shelf so there time left on my corrado is now counting down, quickly but yeah, really pleased with them, really didnt expect to get them in a day, over the moon with how quickly it took for them to get to me. big thumbs up to DMB graphics from me :thumbleft:

18. FANTASTIC NEWS! ive been in contact with david bonning at DBM graphics who supply the ford RS owners clubs with their versions of dealer plates, tax disc holders and stickers. and they ARE able to make up origional, period parts for us and are currently available to make! ive just ordered my set today and i really cannot wait untill they arrive!
19. welcome to the family mate, quite liking your plans for her and itl be good watching this progress :thumbleft:
20. have a look on the RSOC forum, pages of people who are knarked because theyve paid for what they want for their car and havnt recieved it, its all over piston heads, and many other forums. from what ive seen, read and noticed is one big link. chris "flogging" parts which people are after and just keeping the money. similar story on here, dont get me wrong if this is all BS which i highly doubt, if it wasnt BS there would be threads left right and centre doing nothing but promoting his "product" but from what ive seen, dealer plates, stickers and tax disc holders are near impossible to come by and very sought after. so if it wasnt BS why are there loads of threads full of angry classic car owners who havnt had their items delivered? ---------- Post added at 2:19 AM ---------- Previous post was at 2:12 AM ---------- ill take back everything ive said at the end of the day, if orders that have been made and recieved and hes still taking orders now ill happily place one, but unless people recieve what theyre paying for, its only right they see what ive found out after 10mins on google before they hand over money.
21. had a look across some other forums and apparantly hes being "selling" the same thing on the ford RSOC forums, attempting to sell dealer plates and other accesories people are crying out for! ---------- Post added at 9:36 PM ---------- Previous post was at 9:22 PM ---------- this sort of thing isnt on tbh, he knows fine well people are trying to restore their cars back to the way they left the dealer ship however many years ago and playing on that to con money out of them, i thankfully never lost any money through this but even still its ****ing me off just knowing what hes been doing. his names chris latham, http://www.facebook.com/chris.latham.90 quotes of the RSOC forum "Surprisingly (?!) still no signs of my numberplates and stickers nor a refund! Seems Chris is little more than a thief. I'm sure he's having a jolly Christmas with all the cash and goods he has conned out of people! " "sadly i never got my £25 back and i hate to say it got more chance of the titanic sailing again than getting a refund hate to say it but very poor show.and as above think theres quite a list saying the same" HOWEVER. from what people are saying on the forums he was a middle man between a company called DMB graphics, however, from the looks of the website, they only supply ford dealer plates ect, however, IF anyone in this thread has recieved plates of this "chris" i think we could be on to a winner. IF volkswagen versions have been made they can be made again if the demand is there, ive messaged DMB about possibly making dealer plates up for my corrado, ill let people know how this goes and hopefully people who have lost out on this, will be able to get what they want, the actual parts advertized.
22. anyone know whats going on with this, ive read a lot about people being ripped off/not recieving plates, im sure whoever makes these would like to clear this up and carry on making money legitamatly before a lot off ****ed off people in fast cars turn up at his door.
23. yeah i was talking to matt dixson the other day, was out at a bit of a meet we had at the old focus in cramlington, was asking if id seen another red VR6 knocking about blyth, then the second he said rob..., i clicked haha, small world. yeah i dont blame you, ever since mine went off the road in jan, ive wanted it back on the road for nights like this/sunny days. personally i would get the head skimmed, for the sake of £40 and knowing your not going to have a problem its worth it rather than taking a chance and hoping its fine when you turn the key, i wouldnt like to do all that work then have to re do it all again. not worth the risk, even though the leak was slight.
24. yeah obviously, he will see the physical system, but what im saying is that because the ABS light doesnt illuminate, doesnt meant the system is not working, for all he knows the light may only illuminate if there is a fault, i.e. a break in a circuit. not every MOT tester has knowledge of every car on the road, nor the time to research if certain things are right on the vehicle, MOT`s are timed on a computer and the tester has a certain ammount of time to carry the test out in. he can only go off what he knows is right, if the lights on, theres a fault with the system, if its off, the system is fine. with regards to MOT regulations, its fair enough VOSA saying "right, if a cars ABS light doesnt light up then go out, its a failure" but as far as im aware this would only strictly apply to new vehicles i.e. 2000+ they cant expect a classic car to meet modern car standards, its not fair. because a bulb doesnt illuminate then go out, the same way as it does on a modern car, it surely cant fail for it, its the same with catalytic converters on old vehicles, if it was fitted with one at the factory, but is not required for an mot , the vehicle cant fail on emmisions because there is no physical cat there if youve taken it out as they were not fitted to every vehicle at the time the vehicle was made. basically all im trying to say is, if the lights out in theory it shouldnt fail as it is not indicating a fault, however with regards to new MOT regulations, they cannot expect a 20+ year old car to meet 2013 standards for new vehicles. its impossible, it would put every classic car pretty much off the road.
