Funny you mention that as I was wondering if our weights are on the conservative side i.e. actually lighter than we state, We are completing another Corrado Roof and Bonnet over the weekend, we shall try and find a way of weighing it! The single skin Fibreglass is heavier than the carbon single skin and the back frame of the bonnet certainly weighs less than the top side so maybe the carbon is nearer 4kg...will post when we have the data!

No problem at all, do drop me an email to [email protected] and i can raise the invoice and then you can pay once you have the funds in the account....Re delivery, I cannot promise anything but if possible will be happy to do this, otherwise the delivery cost is about £25.00. Carbon is sort of a black colour...doesn't that count?! You can see I have lived my life justifying everything....then again if we love cars dont we all! :-)

Hi, Sorry for not replying sooner, not sure what has happened to my notification settings! On the first question re the springs, I am honestly not sure, 16VG60 might know better having fitted them but as far as I am aware no mods are needed to the springs. It uses the original locking points, some people have added the racing style through clips but it is not vital. If you let me know where people are based there is a chance I might be able to deliver bonnets and roof skins...I have access to an Audi A6 Estate which comes in very handy :-) Call me anytime on 07980 859857 to discuss any details... The tailgate now is something that we are actively looking into, a forum member has offered us a part to mould from, the problem is we are very busy and the mould is time consuming to make but we are in the process of getting quotes done for the mould to be made, We will need 5 orders confirmed to undertake this but from the interest we have received for this so far I think we are nearly there...although interest isn't always orders :-)

Just wanted to make you all aware we have a 10% off sale for our Facebook Followers and members of Corrado-net as well as a couple of other VW Forums. Hi, Quick update here the group buy has gone well although have fallen slightly short of the 4 but have had confirmed orders and even a workshop visit today from a forum member who placed an order and as such has seen some of the parts we have made which were waiting to go out and the quality of these first hand. Happy to continue to honour the £515 for the Carbon bonnet and £400 for the Fibreglass version, will be happy to run this until the end of January. We have a 10% sale on all items as a treat your car for Valentines Sale! Cheesy but hopefully it will help spread the word of who we are and what we can do. Hope the New Year is treating everyone well!

Very happy to do that to support you guys, the forum and of course us... We have one running for the Bonnet at the moment where we have now reached 4 people who want to go for it and so the price is £515 for the full carbon and £400 for the Carbon with Fibreglass Inner Frame... Happy to look at other products for this such as the roof skin in due course...Watch this space for the tailgate and front wings, if we can get enough confirmed interest and funds to justify the mould we will get this going...

Hi, Yes, can confirm the £400 is for a Carbon Outerskin and Fibreglass inner shell or the £515 is for the Carbon Outer and Carbon Inner Bonnets... Hi, As a rough rule the standard bonnets weigh just over 20kg (If someone knows this exactly please let me know) but the weight of the Carbon one comes in at 5kg and the Fibreglass option about 7kg. ---------- Post added at 6:42 PM ---------- Previous post was at 6:34 PM ---------- Very happy to say we have the number to allow the maximum discount for this now....I am happy to let this run until the end of January in case anyone else would like to get involved... Well, im my maths is right and counting ability I believe we have 2x Fibreglass Bonnets for __Andy__ and VR6matty and now a Carbon one for aide if we can get to 4 sold....surely there is one more out there :-)

Hi, Regarding the strength of the Bonding and the UV light this is not something to worry about, the importance of the UV Stable Gel is so that the product does not fade, UV would not penetrate the carbon and gel to affect the strength of the bond. Regarding Wings, Doors and I will add tailgates....it is possible to do the moulds for this but we would need at least 5 guaranteed sales for each to justify the time and expense of making the moulds but it is 100% possible....just wish there were 48 Hours in a day....shall we start a petition?! Timescale, we work everything to 4 weeks and try and over-deliver where possible but we are very busy at the moment. If people are in for these and 100% it might be worth mentioning something like Carbon +1 Fibreglass +1 Just so i can keep track of the progress of this....sorry new to the Group Buy World :-)

The finish is exactly as you have said and is slightly rough to touch and "raw" is a good word to describe. We can apply a single layer of lacquer to the underside which would result in the weave of the carbon being more noticeable and a light sheen to the underside which would look good but i would never be the gloss of the top of the bonnet or the gloss of the inner frame. ---------- Post added at 7:24 PM ---------- Previous post was at 7:22 PM ---------- Re the washer jets, these certainally can be put into the bonnet and as always the buyer decision is what we will adhere to but have to say I like 16VG60's idea of the washer jets sitting out of sight...this would leave more of the expanse of carbon to admire :-)
