Raddo prices are bad at the min but in the longer term I think they will pick up a bit. The only advice I think is buy the best one for the money you can and enjoy it, if you keep thinking of resale then it'll tarnish the fun of the car. I bought a VR needing mot and some minor work, now I'm getting it a full respray and just put leather in it! Gets addictive! :)

I would say so too, had a couple of raddos with this issue. Used the cheap one and it was utter trash, ordered one from vag and instantly problem solved! Hopefully it cures your problem, frustrating trying to narrow things down!

Replaced the cheapo leads previous owner fitted to the VR (which disintegrated in the process too naturally!) did the plugs, fitted new Beru dizzy cap and rotor arm, fitted up Magnecor leads and now he runs like silk again! :D

Dear god no! Life's tough enough without asking for that kinda trouble! :D

That's pretty impressive low ownership! Love to see pics, have a strange fetish for auto vr6 corrados! Never driven one but always imagined they would suit being auto pretty well :)

Thanks chief! I suspected the only difference was dues to load rates, I have koni shocks with eibach springs in at min which are lovely setup for road use. I might give these a go and see how they perform, will report back with findings! :)

Quick question guys as I seem to be getting conflicting views on this, will a set of coilovers from a 92 G60 fit my 93 vr6 raddo? Have a set of monotube H&R coilovers there and would love to have them in my VR :)

Quality find! Do love little touches like this, be good to replace my ten year out of date one! :)

Just to clarify ( I know it's been asked before lol) it's the B4 Passat estate one that's the lovely flat fit on the outside of the roof? Or does the saloon one do the job too?

It's been for sale over here for a while now, think he had it up for £1500 before that, seems cheap enough but don't know anyone that's been to see it as of yet. If I get any more info on it I'll update here :)

Cheers Tim, much appreciated! I have a fully functioning set with 159k at min but they're just temp measure until I find a set with around the correct mileage :)

Hi folks, looking for set of 93 vr6 raddo clocks with 137k, bit optimistic but between 130-140k will do :) also an upper ignition cowling from a facelift in good order. Would need them posted to northern Ireland and have paypal at the ready! Thanks!

The Official Corrado Campaign thread (where are they now)
Thumper replied to James.'s topic in General Car Chat
I've always been a corrado freak since they came out and I'm a sucker for a special edition so I took note when I saw the Campaign come up for sale! :) the salvage yard was in England, pretty sure in the south somewhere. -
The Official Corrado Campaign thread (where are they now)
Thumper replied to James.'s topic in General Car Chat
Just saw this thread and thought I would chip in my meager info on the subject, I saw one of the campaigns for sale in a salvage yard up on ten years ago, can't quite remember. What I do remember is that it was for sale for around £6k so it was a right while ago now! -
Think I might have a set in a lhd g60 shell, will check tomorrow for you ok

Any thoughts or tips guys?

Hi folks, i've searched and got a bit of info on this but nothing definitive. Situation is, i have a G60 LHD Corrado that i picked up for very reasonable price, i really love the car and i have personally no problem driving lhd (i own an edition one too) the only thing is that there has been an enormous spate of eastern european cars vandalised in my area, we have a huge lithuanian/latvian/polish population here and after a few run ins with the local community alot of these cars have been vandalised, i dont want my car to become victim to this too so have decided if at all possible i'm gonna convert it over. I do have access to parts(pretty much all i need as far as i can see) and am will ing to put the effort and time in. What i would like to know is if there has been anyone actually did this conversion and can give a concrete list of the major problems, i have a fair idea of whats involved, obviously dash, pedal box, fusebox, steering rack etc. I know the bulkhead will have to be cut too. For example is it ok to use the original clocks? (i imagine so) what about the steering column? can i use the lhd one. i believe i lose the abs as well if i change unless i can get a right hooker with it to scavenge. Any help or tips would be appreciated while i weigh up my options, cheers :)

Cheers all! I'm going to stick with the early grill, i genuinely like them :) i remember when Corrados first came out (in fact was the first car ever caught my eye and reason i got into motors in first place!) and i think its teh memory of the early ones that sticks with me. I even have a brand new grill still in its packaging that i picked up ages ago which i'll keep in case anything happens this one lol

Thanks very much for the warm welcome folks :) @ vdubCorrado - it has the digital read out alright, as far as i know all Corrados here had them (tho could be wrong there!lol) I love the early shape front end i must say, it does look retro from some angles but also gives the front end a very sleek appearance i think so i wont be changing it to a later front end :)

Been on the forum for a while but never got round to introducing myself, mainly because i had a Golf not a Corrado!lol Anyway, my names Shane, been into veedubs for about 12 or 13 years, had a G60 corrado many moons ago (only had 32k on it at the time!!) HAd many mk2 GTI's in the mean time as well as a few other things. Just come back to Corrado ownership again thankfully having bought a forum members car :) its a 1990 LHD G60 Burgundy Pearl (my absolute favourite colour!) The paint is a bit stone chippy etc but overall a sound, tight driving car thats a good basis for my future plans.Interior is VERY clean for the age and everything works aside from the usual tilt/no slide sunroof!lol Doesnt really bother me as my Edition one Golf GTI doesnt have a sunroof at all. When i got it back home i serviced it and my brother gave the (dull) paintwork the 3 stage Meguiars treatment and it came up really well considering! :) Previous owner had fitted a Piper 260 cam, full Milltek exhaust, decat and new Bilsteins all round. Also gave me a new samco hose kit for the charger and 40mm lowering kit (brand new) amongst other little bits and bobs. Unfortunately no evidence for a charger rebuild so this will be done as soon as poss. Few pics for ya to check out peeps :) ...
